as title suggests, id love some assistance on the direction i should take my traits. id like to be focused on dealing damage up close, but being able to switch on the fly to range if needed. i love big numbers, and being able to take out fodder in the quickest way possible, so any direction in traits to be able to do that would be great.

I strongly suggest against pairing power weapons with condition weapons.

i’d go with greatsword – sword/sword or greatsword – sword/focus or greatsword – sword/pistol if you’re going to focus on power.

how about the traits if i go the power route, gs/ s+s?

tagging this, I love both these weapon sets, though I’ll probably have to give us S/S once I start PvPing.

This is the S+S/GS build that I use. It allows for a quick burst of damage with shatters + sword #2. It picks up both the sword and gs traits making it a great build for the pair.

It’s up to you but going 30 in the dueling trait line(precision) is absolutely crucial for duel swords. i go with the +50 precision with swords and the clone at dodge roll. the last one is up to you, because it’s gonna depend on your utility skills. as for the other trees, power is wonderful, but you might be too squishy.

another thing is greatsword needs to be shatter oriented. it’s the only way i can play it.
