Hi guys,
I’ve been playing through dungeons using a Staff/GW since they’re my favourite weapons for mesmer so far. I’ve just been looking to change weapon sets up since it’s seeming hard to gear for, since condition dmg, and precision/crit dmg only work for one weapon each, which is less than ideal.
I personally prefer keeping illusions up and focusing on condition dmg. I’ve been looking at using Staff and Scepter/Torch, although I’m not really sure about the alt weapons, since I haven’t really tried 1h weapons for dungeons yet.
Could anyone tell me if this would be viable, and if so, what sort of build/gear I should look for? I was assuming I’d wear Carrion gear, but I’m not really sure about builds – probably getting the Staff and Scepter mastery traits, but not really sure outside that.
Also, the other thing I’m unsure about is just condition builds viability in dungeons, since there seem to be quite a lot of encounters with walls and things which dont take conditions, but need to be burned. Will this be a major issue for condition builds?
