would dire gear and a 0/0/6/2/6 trait line be fine for a confusion condition mesmer? and also how effective would it be if i applied it to wvw?
ive been through a few condi builds and i feel that i want to really make the confusion condition a central part of my shatters?

Could you link what build you were thinking using. Also whether your roaming or zerging.

Yeah you could get away using dire, even dire plus rabid combo. But effectiveness could be limited depending on traits

only issue i see is going less than 4 in Dueling for DE with a shatter build…

This is the build i use Great for roaming and it is ok in the zerg.

Your survivability will be high but your condi output will be extremely weak. Generally, condi builds not using Sharper Images and a decent amount of Rabid gear aren’t particularly threatening.
