80% of Mesmers out there run pistols
why nerf the only meele weapon?
since new patch nerfing sword and focus
there’s a huge difference in the combat aspect of these weapons
they weren’t Over powered…. why nerf the only meele weapon??
I’m not happy i’m disappointed i appreciate anet bringing new content out frequently
but nerfing the combat aspect of professions is going to ruin this game.

some one back me up!?? i Thought Anet was going to focus on WvW a lot?

sword on mesmer is only weapon that actually takes skill. because it’s meele based.. every other weapon is range; it’s lame.. Anet disappointed, unhappy.

If 80% of mesmers run pistols that means that the next 4 to post below me have to run pistols. if not, we can ignore your statement completely, right?

Actually… most mesmers run focus, Swiftness for PvE and WvW, pulls to force positioning to carry dungeons, and same c/d and more utility not to mention AoE CC (more so than the bounce on pistol) for sPvP. Pistol is very hold hat, a lot of mesmers only really run it in 1v1s for a relatively reliable stun and a phant that can hit at range and wont get stomped by the cone of auto attacks.

Also melee doesn’t determine skill (ranger sword/dagger = evade spam all burst /gg no try) And to be fair it was a bit much, the nerf to sword was a bit harsh but nothing you cannot adapt around. It’s still a shorter c/d than your doge with perma vigor when traited, if not don’t spam it to block everything and pick a good moment to use it. As to retaliation, it’s a bit unfair to think that we could just beat on them with it and ignore a good chunk of damage when some builds are built around it.

P.S. I run Sword/Sword outside of Spvp and roaming with people I need to keep up with.

I run pistol in wvw/spvp and focus in pve/fractals/dungeons

Sorry, you lost me right here. Can’t back you up. Your statement is the opposite of true. False, they call it.

Yeah I think you lost some cred when you said sword required skill but not the other weapons.

These QQ threads are out of hand.

Sword is still fine if you spec into it’s cdr. Please just practice more and stop posting these types of threads.

Practice in game will go further than QQ on the forums.
