my problem with it is tath you get 3s confusion on ur shatter skills and at same time inturubt thiefs and engis stuck 15 seconds? if confusion is so strong than why class who shood be master of it isent eny more?

Well, first thing, interrupt mesmers get easily 15s too. It’s not the class, it’s the rune.
Then, engi can get nice single target confusion without the runes, but are lacking in the AoE side.
Last, the mesmer have a lot more access to confusion, can trait for it, and rely less on weapons.
So I think comparing engi/thief confusion to mesmer’s is comparing apples and oranges.

Now, I do agree that confusion is lacking on the mesmer. Specing for it provides too little return given the investment.
