you have no idea how much i hate using that skill sometimes. it has teleported me right on top of warriors guardians and hard hitting enemies when i was 500 range. what is should do is teleport you 250 range from your target then stealth. or better yet bring back the beta skill 3 teleport to a spot.

Not only that, it may stealth us (for less than a second), create a clone and then put us in random spot. But it also keeps a giant red “I’m over here!” marker on us and not on the clone.
I mean, even a blind man could spot the real Mesmer (unless we got run over by the zerg or blasted to smithereens by random AoE; which happens 9 times out of 10 because #2 ported you right in the middle of it).
What I wouldn’t give for something we can actually control like Shadow Escape and that our clone wouldn’t throw us out of stealth the moment it starts using their mind blast.

I always wondered why they removed the downed arrow from over the mesmers clone, it was hardly -that- good, and you know… Made it so that your downed 2 actually could save you…

and the clone appears first…wtf…i thought the clone was supposed to replace you and you teleport elsewhere…like decoy does…about the only reason i use it now is for extra confusion on the target and to avoid being spiked right then…other than that its totally usless in pve cause the aggro tables dont reset when stealthed so as soon as you come out bam theyre all on you again

Would be good If it worked like thief down state and in place of your old spot a new downed clone is made
Considering how weak the Thief skill is, I’d rather keep my random teleport + stealth + clone over their controlled teleport + nothing.
Most of the time, the teleport only serves to get away from a single stomp, in which case the extras may or may not buy me time (the stealth, specifically). It’s rare that I need to get out of AEs at a critical moment while downed and not already resurrected (since this mostly applies to PvE).

Seems it move TOWARDS your target.
So select a target opposing to the direction you want to go.
Or they could just fix it considering it hurts PvE players more than any other.
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
