Here is what I am running for open word PvE.

All exotic berserker gear, ascended trinkets, and superior runes of the scholar.

What should I gear towards or expect in dungeons / fractals? I’m worried the speedrunning may factor into this and knowing how to portal in certain locations might be required.

For dungeons/fractals, the biggest change is that you’ll want to ditch the gs in favor of a focus, so your set will be sw/focus + sw/pistol. Personally I prefer offhand sword over pistol, but that’s just me. You may also want to ditch mantra mastery in favor of blade training.

The biggest difference is that knowing when and where to reflect is really important, so this means knowing when to toss on feedback and/or trait your focus. This can be learned by taking a look at the when to reflect guide that chaos has somewhere, and I think the stickied dungeon guide mentions it as well.

Portal is handy in lots of situations, but the only place I can think of off the top of my head that people would yell at you for not doing is CoF path 1 at the flame boulders. I can elaborate more if you don’t know them yet.

Your build is great for pure maximum damage, but it doesn’t do sustained reflects very well, and in some fights you can safely put more focus into your phantasms and/or want to put more focus into your phantasms. The stickied dungeon guide has a good explanations of the different builds you can run for different situations. They’re all variations on traits+maybe a util or two, so don’t worry about carrying a ton of random gearsets around.
