hey guys having trouble deciding on what class i want to be my main, i ALWAYS pick a ranger or hunter but for some reason im not feeling it in this game. ive narrowed my decision to necro or mesmer. i like doing burst damage and my main focus is going to be wvw and pvp in general. necro seems like it would be alot of fun and different from what i normally play but mesmer seems like its more versatile and the playstyle can change between a caster and rogue type guy with 2hswords or dual wield. so if anyones played both or even just mesmer if you could tell me why u like it and if your glad its your main thatd be great, thanks guys

Ive play both, and it seem from what you said. You prefer teh Nerc.

However, I prefer the Mez. To me there the best.

I play both. My necro can stack akittenload of bleed fast and do good damage, but as a mesmer your always doing things and moving, in pvp mesmers and a pain to try kill as they are slippery to pin down.

Pick one and play it for 15-20 lvls and see which is best for you. Thats what I did, lvl22 necr and now lvl 35 mesmer and climbing.

i don’t know much about necro, however i did play mesmer in every single beta and i hated every moment of it (excpt bwe1 and the last beta test). so i decided to just make a theif at launch, got it to 80 then thought wth why not make a mesmer……its currently lv66 and i have had waaaaaay more fun with it than i did as a theif. i do not know if it is the same but when u play a mesmer pve wise anyway you feel much more involved kiting, doing cool combos i.e null field + leap finisher for chaos armor….etc. even though i haven’t played a necro yet (made one called lumpy space princes) you cant go wrong with a mesmer ^^.

Mesmer, its fotm, like Frost Mages in WoW, unbeatable in 1 vs 1, and you hardly ever die, everyone wants your class in their team. Makes you cool in PvP, people worship your skillz and your kitten grows by 20 inches.

Necro, useless traits. Bugged. No damage, one half viable spec and you die easy.
