mesmer sword 2 buggy for me
Sounds like heavy lag, probably on your local end. What you’re describing is failure to activate a skill, which means the client tried to tell the server, failed, and therefor you only got the little client side flashy effect instead of the skill activation.
Read my first post. There was no lag of any kind while this happened. It flashes once like it’s about to go off, then doesn’t if I click on the skill once during combat. It’s not like skill lag where it just constantly flashes and never goes off. After that happens, I click it twice to make sure it goes off, but then clicking it twice makes it cancel itself and go on cd.

So there’s basically 2 options here. Either you’re experiencing lag, or you’re doing it wrong. Blurred frenzy isn’t bugged, so that’s not one of the options. If you really want to fix this, record a video and post it so we can tell you what’s happening.
Bandicam is a quick, easy, and free option for recording!
So Fay, I’m experiencing lag that affects ONLY Blurred Frenzy and leaves all my other skills alone? Yes, makes perfect sense to me. And how exactly do you ‘do it wrong’ when it comes to clicking one button to activate a skill while standing still?

I’m actually quite curious about the answers to those questions as well. Make a recording so we can tell you.
I’ve too have noticed a delay and/or a self-interrupt due to a perceived delay or lag on Sword 2 myself. I’m new to Mes (300 hours vs. 4,000+ hours on Engi), and sometimes, in the heat of battle, the 1/2 second listed in the description seems longer, and I may “self-interrupt”.
I realize there is some L2P on my part, but I hate hitting Sword 3 – which pushes me backwards – and then hitting Sword 2 and fanning the air. Both Sword skills lock you into an animation which is not necessary.
The question should be, “Why is there ANY delay whatsoever?” on such a basic skill?

Do you press 1 to use your autoattack? If so, then the delay you experience is likely your character finishing the autoattack animation, then using blurred frenzy. If you want instant usage, enable autoattack on 1 and don’t actually mash the button. Can be hard to get used to though.
