How do you guys make gold. I’m always broke.

Roll an aoe class. Run events. Profit.

Completing zones.

After the loot nerf/ bug/ whatever I do not really get much money from selling the junk or white drops.

And I have to think twice when I want to buy something.

Yeah, no.. I am broke, too.

I think it really got worse since they messed up with loot/ drops.

Farm mats, make profit. I have no need of crafting other than Cook, so I sold every mat I’ve accumulated since launch and made about 30 gold.

Ive made near 200g since launch and when I am trying get up to 5g per day. first farm all the nods for orich.

Then do dgn runs, I get tons of gold this way.

Trading post, typically make 10-20 gold a day for about 10-20 minutes work from that alone, then I don’t have to worry about magic find and grinding dungeons for loot I can do what i find fun, and do it in style.

Or more specifically, roll a warrior, guardian, thief, ranger, engineer, elementalist, or necromancer.

They can. Just salvage your armor and weapons into ectos and sell them. You won’t need them anymore anyway. LOL

solo farming on mes is VERY good but glint and all that **** its the worst class there is. For example, farming karkas, mes is probably the best class there is. farming sparks solo or with a group its great.

What does being a mesmer has to do with making money? Yeah, it’s harder if you’re solo in Cursed shore farming the plinx/penitent/shelter with the greatsword. Just like eating soup with a fork…. Any decent farmer knows to be in a party when farming and at that point it doesn’t matter that much what class you are.

And farming in Orr is just one of MANY ways to make money, and it’s not even the most efficient. Play the TP, do dungeons, farm Arah path 3 (yes, even after the nerf it’s still good), do map completion, farm T6 materials in frostgorge (easier then Orr), farm the karka for minis and bloods, do orichalcum runs, do some profitable crafting…..

I could go on, but it seems to me you just wanna whine because of some perceived UPness of the mesmer in PVE, not on how to make money. It’s not UP at all

I trait GS and focus cooldowns, spam zerker (yes, even the nerfed one) and warden, and shatter very, very often.

Also, I equip everything “of the traveler” or “of the explorer” i can find.

There’s was still a way to do 3 path in 1 hotw, incase you didn’t know.
(I didn’t do hotw since last patch though, may be fixed, I’d need to check later today if my guild want to run hotw)

Also, I have no idea how I make my money, but apparently 2 to 5 dungeons a day +2 fractal daily and I made like 15g within 2 days.. I remember spending like 15g on 6 runes 2 days ago, but I’m somehow back to 15g.

I just run dungeons, I don’t farm anything at all its way to boring, I don’t understand how ppl can punish themselves by running those event and tagging mobs over and over again, that has got to be the most boring way to make money. I don’t make alot but I don’t feel the need to either

A staff mesmer can make large money solo farming mats on any map. I have a small army at my disposal, the ability to disappear or teleport if it gets too hot. Orr, Southsun, Frostgorge on a regular rotation for orichalcum, woods, and occasional good drops.

Farming karka is the one and only place mesmer have a big competitive advantage over other classes. So that’s one obviously place to start. Farm your way to the rich orich node and back.

Karka farming works, and running dungeons nonstop AC/TA w/omnom berry bars works wonders I have np farming or making money at all. I can farm other mobs orr events etc.. with no issues. You have great AoE at your disposal if you’re a power/shatter build. Other builds may have some issues. Other than that I have no idea what these people complaining about are doing wrong.

If you dont need dungeon gear, farm the higher lvl dungeons and buy the rare quality gear and salvage it for ectos, its only 30 tokens each so thats 2 rares per run

You could try and get money from porting people to the ends of the jumping puzzles as well as all above suggested ideas.
I’ve made 3 gold in one day from that. Sure it is slow but it is a Mesmer only way of making money.
