We were overdue for another thread like this.

Purple is unisex, blue enough for stereotypical males, red enough for stereotypical females, thus balanced in the center of that spectrum so all may feel accepted universally.

Another insecure person? Really? Seriously, it’s just a colour… a nice colour at that. Using pink does not challenge your ‘manliness’ in any way or make you any less of a ‘man’. Just look at Pyro he rocks it

Pretend your an elementalist with your gear, and surprise your foe with butterflies. It’s the best kind of illusion.

Actually, when I first bought the game and wasn’t sure which profession to choose, I chose mesmer… Because of it’s purple abilities. And I’m a guy too.

When I first looked at buying GW2 (first MMO ever) and was deciding on what class I’d play I was purely looking at aesthetics and overall kittenery and mesmer was the ultimate pick. Purple beams, purple illusions, clones and awesome graphical effects made it a winner in my book. It doesn’t bother me one bit and I wouldn’t change it even if it was possible.
