someone could post a glamour build mainly for wvw zerging and tagging? and since i didnt play for a long time i ’d like to ask why glamours were so strong, all they do (for now) is 1 stack confusion (might have been more stacks of confu long ago, idk)

anyway all i wanna do is tagging ppl so i get some loot and wxp (ik its pretty selfish , but we dont rly have many ways to do smth else, i probably still will be able to veil the zerg and use tw anyway (all they need from mesmers , ppl nowadays…)

The Glamour Confusion build was strong before Anet cut the confusion damage to half of the original number in PvP/WvW.

It was strong because it’s an AoE field with no limit on the number of affected targets. Everybody stepping in the field gets one stack of confusion and another stack for walking out. You could easily get 4 stacks of confusion on to the whole zerg within seconds, and with a full set of condition damage gear, it did spiked before nerf.

Nowadays you still get tags by running this build (I’’ve run it myself after nerf), but I’d say it’s not actually helpful for your team. If you’re running in an organized group in a server ranking at the top tiers, I’d suggest not to go for it.

They where very strong for 3 reason:

Mass blind effect
Mass confusion spreading
Massive damage comming fron confuse

It used to:

• blind every target on the start of glam AOE
• Set 1 confusion per blind
• Set 1 confusion on everyone who enter / exit Glam field

So you could put 4 confusion to the whole zerg dealing 1500 dmg per hit

BUT

• They divided by two confusion effect in WVW
• you can only blind one people at a time >> 1 confusion only
