hello mesmerians,

I’m having some issues with my mesmer, mostly disengaging fights (ex-thief player here, one of the big reasons i played thief, was how easy it was to disengage, 3x shadowstep + steal / withdraw etc.).

Another issue would be mobility, i love to roam by myself but i have no swiftness or 25% movement speed signet on mesmer, i dont really wanna run around with focus n use 4 all the time and switch back, gets annoying after a while. i also don’t really want to use pack-runes, because the condition removal on mesmer is bad enough, i need my lyssa-runes. is there any way to get some sort of swiftness easily?

Traveler or Centaur runes.

Disengage from fights using stealth.

Stealth + Blink is the best disengage combo we have.

If that doesn’t work, focus 4 can cripple / pull pursuers.

Mesmers have no good access to out of combat mobility.

Hmmm… WvW builds are a conundrum. I suggest starting with torch and Prismatic Understanding and going from there based on your playstyle. Also, going for a stealth build will reduce your vulnerability to conditions. Traiting the torch helps as well but isn’t absolutely necessary.
