I’m a new player and i want to play mesmer but, it is worth playing, i’m not new in mmorpg so i’m looking for a challenging class that is effective both in pvp and pve

Do you like the theme (pink, butterflies, mind/time/space bending mischief)? Yes => roll it.

If you don’t love the theme, you’ll probably be better off rolling something else.

roll one, finish the tutorial and jump in the pvp lobby, there you can try out some builds, how the weapons work, see the skills in use and decide for yourself

I’m no expert on mesmers since I’m currently leveling one myself, but it’s a pretty fun class! And if you’re looking for challenging, I think you’ll like mesmer because it’s a pretty complex class with a unique mechanic.

leveling a mesmer can be pretty frustrating mostly because our traits are pretty build defining, so while leveling do not try to follow a build….there are leveling guides out there for mesmer

you dont need any guides for leveling a mesmer, My first and only character ive leveled to 80 was a mesmer and i’ve had no problem at all getting through content, it was easy, infact i felt op
people tell me it’s because since i havent played the other classes yet that i wouldnt know what it feels like to level an easier class, they considered me lucky

When did you level it, was it before the NPE? Because a huge part of the class’ leveling problem right now comes from the overly-high level gates for traits that arose from the NPE.

More magenta tbh, but there’s different shades in the skills varying from purple through to pale purple/pink.

Mesmers:
Pros:
- FUN
- Challenging
- Unique playstyle
- Clones
Cons:
- Tagging in big fights
- Sometimes bad AI
- Predictable, need to level up jukes
- Not that comfortable IMO, i.e. Brainheavy vs brains
