nice level 80 outfit for mesmer
Define “unique”.

as in its not a look practically everyone wears
Check the “show us your Mesmer” thread stickied at the top of the page for ideas.

Running [Lost] in IoJ
That website isn’t complete. For example, it is missing the Masquerade armour. It is missing others as well.

Not a look everyone wears…. hmmm try some modesty. Everyone likes to run around in thier G-strings and high heels but you’ll be the only girl with class!
I understand what you mean completely! I am always trying to look different!
So what you want to do..is just find pieces that you like that work well together..and get them transmuted to the stats you need.
My Mesmer have a lvl 20 coat transmuted to my lvl 80 stats.
but it goes well with my outfit
So mix and match and come up with your own look!
Im all about fashion..and my Mesmer gotta be looking good
I can’t be waling around looking any type of way lol.
Good luck!

Not sure how much help I can be since a male charr is about as far as you can get from a human female, but I really like the whispers armor. It’s closer to an adventurer look than the much more popular mage-like armors, so its certainly not over used and fits sword really well.
To get any more unique, you are going to have to mix and match. Find a base you like, preview vendors, buy cheap pieces of various levels on the TC to preview, and sell back the ones you don’t like. Maybe even make a little coin.

You get some pretty unique looks from mixing the lesser used dungeon armors, karma armors, and order armors.
In this screenie (I’ve since changed the boots to one of Orr’s sets), I’m running the lvl 70 exotic helm, one of the normal torsos, karma gloves from somewhere on the way to Fort Trinity, Order of Whispers pants, and Cadecus Manor boots

The Comet is correct. I researched every armor at level 80 look wise via this site (http://www.gw2armorgallery.com/index.html) and mostly made a mix of standard, crafted & karma armors (2 karma pieces, 1 standard, 3 crafted) and I haven’t seen anyone on my server that looks like I do, nor uses the same helmet that I do. A piece of gear here and there will match, but never the unique look I’ve built. My advice is view that link, see what’s good for your race, what you like, then begin dressing up.

I run around in heritage armor. I use to see a few others wearing the same when the game started. Now I see to be the only one. By the way, heritage light armor is based off of what GW1 mesmers wore.
I cant help but love the Winged armor set, got it on my Ele and my Mesmer
Tier 2 human armor is incredibly Mesmeric, but doesn’t seem to be that common unfortunately. It’s beautifully detailed and dyes incredibly well.
Go with what you like. It doesn’t even have to be incredibly expensive, you can just pick up bits and pieces from various styled and make your own. My style must have cost me around 6 gold, max. On top of my Dungeon Set, of course.
Human male; I use OOW armor.
Arabian ninja kitten.
I use the OOW helm with a mix of T1 & T2 cultural armors. I really like the aristocratic look on a Mesmer. Sorry for the dark screenshot:

I use the Shoulder on my Human Female Mesmer, and it’s my favorite part of the outfit. The rest was a little pricey for her, but I may try it out later.
Right now she’s using the following (I think I’m getting the color orders right, I’ll post a screen later):
Head – Feathered Headpiece (Gunmetal, Abyss and Cotton Candy)
Shoulder – Aristocrat’s Epaulets (Gunmetal, Lipstick and Abyss)
Chest – Masquerade Raiment (Ocean, Abyss, Gunmetal)
Gloves – Shadow Gloves (Gunmetal, Abyss, and some light blue… I forget exactly what shade, but it had a water-related name)
Legs – Masquerade Leggings (Ocean, Abyss, Gunmetal)
Feet – Masquerade Boots (Mithril, Gunmetal, Abyss)
Back – Quaggan Backpack
Weapon 1 – Orrian Greatsword (the dripping water effect and octopus tentacle really go well with the aquatic theme)
Weapon 2 – Krytan Longsword and Krytan Pistol (the color is very close to the Gunmetal pieces of the armor)
The character herself has black hair and fair skin. The whole outfit used to be primarily Lipstick, but I swapped to Ocean when I added the quaggan backpack, and kept Lipstick only for the cross design on that shoulder piece. I really like the way it looks right now, like some kind of anime space princess, but that Masquerade armor is really really common and I’m looking for alternatives that will go as well with the Shoulder, Gloves, Weapons and of course Quaggan Backpack.

Cool pic!
Most people won’t share theirs if they have a good set up. I won’t stay unique if I tell you what I wear, you know.
I love the heritage armor, whether you choose to use all pieces or only some.
Here’s what I think it looks like on chicks:

I’ve been running around quite a bit and see very few people rocking it. Some pieces mix well with the Cultural Armor which, especially tier 2, also has some ‘mesmery’ themed pieces.
Here we go… here’s the costume described above. Color scheme goes like this:
Head – Gunmetal, Abyss, Cotton Candy
Shoulder – Lipstick, Gunmetal, Abyss
Chest – Gunmetal, Ocean, Abyss
Hands – Gunmetal, Abyss, Dewdrop
Legs – Gunmetal, Ocean, Abyss
Feet – Mithril, Gunmetal, Abyss
Look in the “Show us your Mesmer!” topic for ideas. Then go to the mist (sPvP) and mix your own armor at the lockers. When you find a mixture that looks good, then have a look at what each item costs in the trading post, and then find alternative pieces if something is too expensive.

I think this is the most fitting armor skin for a mesmer. It’s very theatric. Makes me regret that I didn’t make a human mesmer instead of norn. And indeed I’ve only seen very few people using that set.
I use full TA set for my mesmer since it’s my most favourite set.
I transmuted mine to profane armor

I agree with Heritage armor looking great on Mesmers of any gender; it’s in “Mesmer-style” given that it was designed on the priginal Mesmer cover art. I don’t see many armor setsthat I really like, so I may end up sticking to it forever (plus individuality can also be found through the way you choose to apply dyes).
Not many people use Heritage skins (understandably, since many can’t), but I find them among the best looking sets for each armor type. Even some high level armor seems rather lacking to me in comparison, with few exceptions (they are either too funny, too “unrealistic”, too “br00tal”, too spiky, etc.)
Just the various sets of armor and looks that I’ve got for my Mesmer.
The first is the Rabid + Centaur Runes set for WvWvW, or whenever I really need Swiftness constantly. Looks strangely professional yet evil somehow.
The second set is the Rampager + Scholar Runes set for any occasion. My standard set, and the look I’m often seen with. Just a mix of Sylvari and Human styles.
The third is my Zerker + Ruby Orbs … done for laughs. Bonus with Icey Death blast image included (Love those Frost Guns … Singing With my freeze ray, I will stop the world)
The hard part is trying to find another set that looks decent for when I finally build a full magic find set.
Anyways, if anyone is trying to find an armor set that still looks nice yet is rare to be seen? Stately armor from the Karma Vendors in Timberline Falls is a nice one … and likely going to become the base of my look for the Magic Find set.

I like to use masquerade armour, the “outer” robe is dyed jalepeno, with gold as a secondary colour (the “internal” pants are dyed ebony and the shirt is dyed matte)
I’m also using my harlequin’s smile dyed matte and using the T3 asura weapons
until 80 I used heritige armour dyed the same way (green as primary, gold as secondary, black pants, white shirt)
male sylvari BTW :P
