Is it just me, or are they doing more damage? After losing to a zerker Mesmer on my ele, something didn’t feel right.

I’m not good at Mesmer by any means, I’m running 4/6/4/0/2, with dual swords and scepter/focus. Needless to say, I have no idea how to build a Mesmer, yet my damage spiking with my combo was insane, much higher than I remember…

With a single combo I was able to hit a guardian from 100% to 25% with the normal shatter spike. Following by Cry of Frustration to finish to medi-guard off.

Now, I don’t play Mesmer enough to know if that was typical or not but can anyone confirm that they are going more damage? I posted this in the bug section but it might not be a bug, if not, well, looks like I’ll be mastering the mesmer.

It’s just you. Mesmers have always done good damage if you actually get hit by the burst.

Zerk Mes has always been able to murder Eles. Med Guards are a little more difficult but doable. Your setup is very non-traditional so it’s hard to give you much feedback. I haven’t noticed anything different to usual though.

I see. I don’t play Mesmer much so I wasn’t sure if the patch introduced a bug or not. I know I am terrible with a crappy setup but maybe I was just against some bad players or something.

idk about you, but i’m feelin 22..

but seriously if anything i think i’m dealing about 500 to 600 ish less damage overall playing shatter. (that’s in an entire encounter, not just a burst)

Confusing Images and iMage buffs are actually a bit noticeable.

I’ve noticed no damage increase at all..
If you decide to master mesmer, I’m working on a video guide that will take you through everything. It’s on hold as of now since I’m sick so I can’t commentate on the videos but as soon as my long lasting cold passes I’ll get right back to it. There have been 2 videos up already (mentality + cd management, positioning and kiting) and I’ve also got a written build guide.

There has been no significant change to Mes, more likely the OP encountered a new Guardian player. Some Guards you can barely scratch even with zerker build.

Yeah, you can blow up new/inexperienced guardians.
