i’ve played the mesmer since release of GW2 and was really excited when i tested the mirage spec in the demo version. i had a lot of fun by try out various builds. but overall the playing of the spec feels a bit clunky. so i noted some things that could be improve the feeling while playing the mirage. these shouldn’t seen as buffs.

first, when you dodge to gain your cloak, it looks like you’ve given the command for a broadside attack from a battleship like “all cannons fire!”. especially when you play with staff. but i think the mesmer itself (not the clones) thinks the ‘command’ isn’t so important, because he/she continue the current spell, instead of casting the ambush. i had a lot of moments where i hammer on my button with the hope, my mesmer still cast the ambush in the short time window. it would be much better if the ambush skills could cancel the current spell.

second i want to mention is the “Shards of Glass” trait (that thing creates mirrors while you shatter). i really like the idea behind this and it would fit well in my rotation. unfortunately, the way this trait works is really inconsistent. i tried 8 times where i observed my shatters (every time i shattered with 3 illusions). the first 7 times, i gain 0 mirrors. the 8th time, i gain 2 mirrors. so every illusion you shatter have an individual chance by 33% to create a mirror. in this state, i don’t think that the trait is valid for pve rotations nor pvp builds. it would be much better, if the trait would create in best case 1 mirror but with summed chances. what i mean is, that you have a 33% chance to get one mirror, while shattered 1 illusion, 66% while 2 illusions and 100% while 3 illusions. a 100% chance (while 3 illusions) would be much more consistend and would allow the trait to be used in pve rotations.
