Hey everyone my mesmer name is MagicofDisney. I we use this thread to post my builds and tips and tricks I find helpful and I am open to feedback. I have played arundel with conditions pu using scepter torch and sword pistol. Then I went to a phantasm pu build and now I switch between that pu task build and a 4-4-0-2-4. I recently started shatter only builds and will be documenting the pros and cons and how I hopefully learn to play shatter well. Please enjoy the most recent two spvp dueling videos. I know I’m not the best feedback is appreciated.

Well.. I don’t really know what to say to you.
I’d really suggest watching some PvP guides..
You did so many mistakes like where you were rezzing a guy at mid. After you rezzed him, instead of decapping the point which you should be able to do, you fought off point 2v1.
Also you should drop the ‘who the kitten do you think you’re messing with’ ect. stuff.
The thing is PU condi works only for sPvP where people mostly suck and that is the reason why you didn’t get killed much (or did you?). Try doing a bit of tPvP and you will get wrecked by a half-way decent player. PU means heavy stealth, stealth is not good for PvP as it prevents captures. If you have someone that is going with you then it’s fine or if you manage to cut the stealth down to an absolute minimum (in 1v1 you basically don’t even need it) you can make it work, but trust me, in anything other than sPvP, it won’t work too well.
PvP isn’t about killing people, it’s about getting those points in order to win and you need to think about whats best for your team, where you should move ect. There were many cases in your video where you were not needed where you were and should of went somewhere else but you stayed there and tried to kill the player(s) like in 3 minutes in 3v1 on the warrior, you guys were loosing mid and didn’t have mine. You could of went and decapped mine or helped out at mid.

First thing I’d suggest is to start playing shatter.
I made a shatter guide, it’s in my signature. Make sure to read everything, all the extra info I put in there and watch all the videos, plus in the Helseth stream link you can watch all his past streams, you will see how top tier PvP is and learn a lot from his commentary, as well as Sensotix commentary on YouTube.
Don’t try staff or greatsword +sword/x as it sucks really, really bad now after the ‘fix’. It wasn’t good at all before, not it just plain out sucks. I can explain it to you in game in order to keep this post short. Feel free to PM me if you’ll need any help.
Also, don’t get offended by this post, I’m being honest with you and telling you on what you need to improve which is better than saying ‘oh, you’re awesome’ which is basically lying to you.

This isn’t quite accurate. PU condition builds work extremely well in tPvP as long as they’re played correctly. Granted, this video wasn’t necessarily a demonstration of that, but they still can be quite strong. I’ll just quote something I said a while back.

A PU condie build fills the role of light team-fight disruption and support with the aoe support conditions, but primarily is a point disruptor, taking advantage of an unguarded point to rapidly secure a decap, then force the enemy team toshift significant resources to push you out of the point.

Edit: Watched the videos. They showed decent play against opponents that really didn’t know how to fight a phantasm build at all. Not a single person in either video attempted to kill your phantasms, which could be done with an autoattack or two, eliminating your offense.
