‘Sup guys, I’ve just come back from a long break, and I haven’t found yet a build that I like.

As far as I know, apparently we’ve been pigeon-holed into Prismatic Understanding builds, because hey, a hambow warrior, kthxbai im ded.
Altho I don’t like this style, and I find it lacks quite some good damage.

What I’m asking is, is there anything else viable right now? I’ve tried around some lockdown builds, but they quite don’t seem to deliver / get rotflpwnd by other professions.

PU isn’t strong in PvP. You can do some decent damage but it’s difficult to hold / take a point.

Lockdown is fun and strong 1v1 and with support. However, you’re in for a world of hurt against multiple opponents or if you waste your interrupts.

I find shatter to be the best, all-around spec. Nice group support and decent 1v1 capabilities. Currently I’ve been using GS / Sw + Torch with the standard 20/20/0/0/30.

Have you read Supcutie’s shatter guide? It’s invaluable.

Are you looking to do solo queue or team queue with an organized team (soloing team queue counts as solo queue)? If solo queue, check the link in my sig.

Don’t run PU in tPvP. It sucks and will only make people on both teams to hate you.

If you don’t feel you need the extra survivability from Decoy, you can take Illusion of Life. If the opposive team does not have many condi users, you can consider using Ogre runes instead than Lyssa.
Other options are Phantasmal Fury instead than Far Reacing Manipulations.

Try to snipe from afar, remember to use your Portal and kill Condi Necros and Engis ASAP when you see them in a teamfight. Don’t go alone doing 1v1s, be a dps support for your team and make use of portal.

If you’re talking organized team queue, then you’re correct. Otherwise, you’re very mistaken.

Illusion of life is pretty bad. I think it is the only skill in the “rez downed players” that requires the downed player that got up to kill someone. Necro, guardian and warrior variation of the skill do not.
