which hero is close to mesmer in overwatch
I’d say tracer in terms of role? You can rewind time is thematically similar to chrono. You’re there to dash in and out and disrupt backline, hopefully draw fire away from your main group or gank someone; you don’t have much dps yourself; you can’t cap point or escort and you’re quite useless in teamfights except ult. Kind of like mesmer in a way. Tbh neither tracer nor mesmer fit the typical trinity role even though both games seem to encourage that now.
Zarya(?) has Gravity Well. It really depends on what specific aspects of Mesmer you want to emulate.
Genji.
Mobile, with decent close range burst, and adequate range DPS with damage falloff.
Ultimately being to squishy for the damage you deal unless they are not paying attention or don’t know how to play.
People still think it’s OP.
High Skill ceiling.
TTK is at least decent in overwatch for a cap point esque game type.

But you do realize one is a MMORPG and the other is a FPS?
Not a veiled attack-anet/crying/quiting thread at all…
This one’s easy.
Widowmaker with her rifle and killshots. Also wears pink.
It is known.
(I only know the one character XD )
It really depends on what aspect of the Mesmer you want to focus on.
Symmetra – Portal
Zarya – Gravity Well
Tracer – Continuum Split
Winston – Feedback (sort of)
I don’t think any particular Overwatch hero really embodies the Mesmer, though.

Exactly. Mes (Chrono really, mes no longer exists) is overloaded and OP like all elite specs.
Overwatch has narrow classes with limited scopes XD

Such is the nature of power creep, sadly.
I’m loving Junkrat

GW2 or Overwatch, you decide.

Overwatch was down due to maintenance for 2 hours.
In those 2 hours, I managed to get a total of… wait for it… 3 games!!!

kitten please don’t.
As true as Odin’s spear flies,
There is nowhere to hide.
Overwatch has narrow classes with limited scopes XD
Not Widowmaker, her scope has quite good peripheral vision.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, that’s so punny.

Individual skills vs flair of the whole class.
I would say genji not because of the reason someone else listed above but because of reflects. Killing your enemies with their own skills embodies mesmer to me. Wall climbing and being a ninja is a bonus
Junkrat.
Just because.

That’s fair. But in that case, McCree might also somewhat embody the flavour of the traditional power shatter Mesmer. Lockdown and burst.
