A mesmer can use swords and guns? Please Anet, remove those options from the game, it’s totally inappropriate in my opinion!

I think they are fine as is. In fact, I don’t see why there are weapon restrictions at all. Having access to all weapon types would give more playstyle options. “Hammer Smash turns your foes into clones for 3s.” Yes please!

From my point of view staff and scepter dont fit the battle mage theme of a mesmer but in the end who cares.

Are you kidding ? You obviously don’t have a clue about mesmer (created in GW1)

Was it with a sword, it was always meant as a battle mage type of class.

Which is why I love it, I love being like a tough melee but with magic.

Completely disagree with the OP. I love having the option to be a trickster battle mage! I almost always play a caster in MMOS and I was sooo excited to see that I could play a profession that had a caster feel to it while still being able to utilize swords and pistols!
