1 necro vs ???
I beat 2 thieves 1v2 once but my favourite was my first day in WvW as a lvl 17 necro.
I was following this guy across the map when a guild group of 6 jumped him and killed him in a second. I started kiting and throwing bleeds on one of them, when he had about 9 bleeds on I used epidemic and they all had the bleeds, then I AoE feared them into a bunch of mobs and all of them except 1 went down. I spiked 3 of them and the mobs killed another 2 and the remaining guy ran away. That was when I decided necro was the class for me.
1v2 for me. 1v3 is just too much damage, plus the additional support when trying to stomp them.
I am of the opinion that shroudstomping might be too strong. The counters to stomping are: (1) interrupt them and (2) do enough damage to the stomper to make the stomp not worth it. Shroudstomping with Foot in the Grave lets a necro stomp while ignoring both of these.
I don’t care either way really. It either needs to be fixed along with a note so we know the fix is intentional, or necros should be allowed to interact with things while in DS. Right now it’s confusing as to whether or not it’s an intended thing.

The same or worse could be said about the other work arounds to stop-stomping, like the shatter 4 stomp from a mesmer, or an invisible stop from a thief. There are also other classes that can just pop stability and then stomp.
Right now the downed state makes being anything other than a thief, mesmer, elementalist, a stompable target. You want to be fair about it, no one should be able to bypass the downed defensive skills of the other 5 classes. At least then people would try to DPS you down and you might get a chance to use your nmb 3 skill, what little good it might do for you.
I’ve won a 1v3 before, but they were all glassy as hell, walked right through my marks and then clustered up nicely for epidemic.
I couldn’t stomp safely, so I would just break LOS, apply conditions to one, then epidemic again.
Just to edit, this was sPvP, not WvW.

Everyone run away from me as soon as things turn sour for them. I think in the past 2 months I only “actually killed” 1 or 2 guys.
Once I was protecting yaks when 2 thieves arrived. I downed on of them (not killed) before I died.

I won a 1vs3 (a team mates came and helped me down them, because it would be close to impossible to down all those 3), just after paid tournaments were released. No idea how it happened, was a thief/warrior/mesmer, didn’t have elite up or epidemic slotted, which makes me wonder even more. Well of darkness is too op.
I’ve won plenty of 1vs2’s especially in hot join, 1vs2’s aren’t too hard for a necro, along with mesmer’s we’re probably the best at outnumbered fights.
Had many fights but one which comes to mind was a 4v1 against a group of elementalists (1 or 2 were upleveled though). It was open field and should have by all means beaten me but they played their cards terribly and allowed my deathshroud to tank their best stuff, which is all very telegraphed (earthspike, ride the lightning and so on). After that I just grinded them down with my pathetic damage only because they were extremely glassy.
Had to shroudstomp because otherwise I would’ve been focused down while finishing them off. Mistwalk was annoying but I waited patiently before they would use that card.
I caught the first one quick so it was more like a 3v1 with 2 real opponents (due to my tankiness the upleveled person did no damage whatsoever), so not as glorious as it sounds.

WvWvW it’s like a box of chocolates… you don’t know what are you facing, unlike of spvp there’s a lot more of builds and you don’t know the equipment of your oponent, even the level,
I tend to be reckless and aggresive despite being in a big disadvantage,
I 3 on 1 a couple of times, two of them at the begining of the fight and another one coming for a easy badge,
It’s a specific situation, most times 2 on 1 ends with a guy dead, even if you are a great player the other guys need to be really bad,
3 on 1… well, it was a couple of times and as i said against awfull oponents,
