17-18 poison fields
so what u guys do when entering zerg fights is to use ur staff…when your feel enemies wanna reset/heal pop ur poison cloud utility..when enemies mass hp at around 60% pop bone minions and tap to detonate them..somebody ur target/s die in zerg fights? spawns jagged horror every 15 sec.. when u see enemies survive these but hp at around 50%.. get on lich form and cast minions mark for 5 poison fields, and use other lich skills, be sure to spam click on the next minion marks cast.. u have 5 sec window opportunity
if u guys are interested I give the current build
Too bad your zerg will want to strangle you for ruining their blasting of water fields and recovery time.
link build plz
i like playing fun builds haha!
Yes i will post later when i’m home, i agree zerg will stranggle me if i screw up their water field. there is a time for everything, when commander says we need to reset/heal, will not cast poison field..
I want to know where everyone is finding these mythical zergs that have commanders they listen to and blast water fields. Unless you are with a guild or are on a really organized server that’s using TS, most zergs are just mindless blobs that follow whatever sparks their interest. Unless you are with a very organized zerg, it really couldn’t matter less what you do as long as you’re pressing your buttons a lot.
Or guards get routinely complained to for dropping their staff mark in the group at bad times, giving group retal instead of might, swiftness, or healing. Guild groups attract a lot of other folks too, so even a large guild group becomes a Zerg over time. Having my minion time out in the middle of us blasting anything really would be country productive, and unavoidable. Especially if there were 18 sources of poison, most of which can be incidentally triggered by enemy aoe.
Corrosive poison cloud is plenty of poison for me, but to each their own I guess…
in the next reply ill post my build , Well if the zerg doesn’t listens to commander and fields down anywhere its really bad tho.. they have to be in-sync with commander. when I use my poison fields I make sure theres at least no water fields.
this above build is only first idea build, its not much finalized as I just only got my build recently. u guys can try dire/rabid trinkets

My point was you can’t stop the rat from timing out or the other minions from dying on your recovery, blowing the poison field down over everything else. I guess if you want to move around your blob rather than inside your blob you are fine, but you standing in that mix would be dangerous.
yes going into a zerg blob alone is suicide, my idea is during a zerg fight, ppl will scatter out instead of being a tight pack, during this time ill position my self to use minion. or commander says, lets leap!,move pass them, when enemy hp is around 60% and below, ill drop my minion and detonate immediately.
Too bad poison damage don’t stack in intensity, that build would be strong. Since it doesn’t, it is very worthless.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
I can cast lots of it during zerg fights, the thing isn’t really about damage…. it causes enemies to heal 33% lesser causing them to die quicker..i told this to a regular commander, he says it will work.
and blasting this causes AoE weakness, leap causes attacks to do poison, whirl causes aoe poison
I don’t think you get it. If the enemy is dropping water fields and healing, they will win. Yeah, they heal less from poison but you caused your side to heal 100% less. Who is going to win that battle?
are u saying my poison fields are touching the zerg’s water field? if so, I don’t actually use it when our zerg is casting water fields.. don’t really understand

Not really trying to argue, I was just pointing out the death magic 5 minor trait summons a minion who has degeneration, and will die… assuming you are killing things you will have 1-2 of these out at all times. You cannot avoid those dying, and they leave a big poison splat on the ground. If that happens while you are in your group recovering within a water field, bad news.
Also enemies bomb your recovery, and your other minions (the bone dogs), don’t have much HP either. Practically I am sure the build works fine in a regular zerg, and even in a coordinated zerg I tend to play the “edge” game, so it would be fine for me as well, but it is something that should be actively avoided if you try and stand in the recovery with the other people.
Maybe we can all hope that one day the game will be smart enough to prioritize self fields, and blasted fields such that that it will use the “other” present field if there are no valid offensive targets to hit nearby. Or how about a priority system of overlapped fields.
is poison seriously this strong?
i’m going with a solid no.
As true as Odin’s spear flies,
There is nowhere to hide.
I kinda agree with Bhawb. Zerg is usually a ‘sit in a group and auto-attack’ unskilled affair sadly.
Anyway, that’s a bit pessimistic & I love a bit of theory craft.
One of your big problems is, ‘accidental’ cleansing by light fields. “Cleansing Bolts” will be ‘accidentally’ just done by guards with GSwords. There’s no info on it in the wiki, but from play, I guess it’s 1-3 condi removed from 5 targets.
So you want to intro with a poison, then throw up other conditions on top, so that your poison isn’t just cleansed.
The poison you apply from a combo, is only 2 sec duration. Only the first 9 applications of poison count, it’s not like it will overwrite the short 2sec one’s with longer durations.
So Chilblains from staff will be the best intro, it’s 6sec and you can extend it to 100% condition duration. So you def want to apply this before your combo burst of 2sec stacks.
