Hi,

i currently play 1v1 in custom arenas. I know… 1v1 balancing is far from perfect. But still i enjoy it and i want to be better in 1v1.

I found this tips and thougts http://guidescroll.com/2013/03/guild-wars-2-necromancer-pvp-comprehensive-guide/ . It can serve for somebodys inspiraton.

Have someone also useful tips for 1v1 situations against specific classess? I run terror condi build and most pain in my *ss is mesmers. Some tips or rotations against mesmer will be useful.

against a shatter mesmer you are dead because our stun breakers are awful,

against a illusion mesmer will be even worst, even with AoE you won’t be able to kill the illusions fast enough,

Ignore the illusions and you are dead, try to kill the mesmer and you are dead,

Mesmers are the best duelist on this game, specially the illusion mesmer,

Well, mesmers are quite tough to beat against Necromancers, unless you can quickly distinguish the real one from the clone. I usually waste a bit of time searching for the real mesmer. I don’t have this problem with my Thief because with stealth I have a larger margin to look for the real character then take them down.

It’s focused around lifesteal/crit/damage and good CC for necro It’s a more offensive-based build. But if you work with it a bit, you might like it. U can change some things around if you like, but it’s mainly built for trying to stay alive as much as possible with lots of lifesteal and stacking might while in DS along with Blood Is Power

That pvp guide is really weird in some places.
His pros/cons list… umm?
“You lack any real “burst” besides stacking 9+ bleeds and poison on a target (which takes time)”
That’s so not true. 9 bleeds is supposed to be the biggest “burst” of a conditionmancer??

I’m not surprised you would lose against a mesmer with the condition builds he posted.

Imo against a mesmer you should have: Greater Marks + Staff Mastery, Epidemic and Corrupt Boon. That’s half the battle right there.
It sounds strange to equip Epidemic in a 1v1, but land it on a clone with just 3 stacks of bleeding and it will be worth it.
And I hope you didn’t pick Plague Form, that elite is the worst in 1v1s. Golem ftw!

I don’t think you really have a large chance beating a good Shatter/Phantasm mesmer though. The Phantasms on top of shatters just hit too hard and burst too often.

Epdemic is good to kill clones i think, worse is the stun i get and then blurried frrenzy which i cannot evade..
