I just finished my first ever made pvp movie its about an inward journey to
the dark side.
it’s a bit storybased but includes some pvp too, you have to realise i just learned
sony vegas lke a week ago so the editing isn’t all that great but i really tried hard
to make it a bit storybased with the majority of it pvp.
well let me know what you thought about it took me a good week to make it, it’s
tough getting good footage with no demorec in game and just relying on fraps and
the inflated 4 gig 3 minutes files and hope you got some workable pieces to put
in your movie.
its over 20 minutes of you playing the game to music i’m not extremely fond of. This is my assumption cause i kept jumping though to see if it ever changed. no real narrative except your intro. So basicly…its like leaning over my friends shoulder and watching him play for 20 minutes while he blares his ipod.
Not trying to tear it apart cause i know you probably put a lot of time into it. I just think you shoulda made it shorter or put something in it to keep me entertained for 20 minutes.
I think you might need to change your title of the forum post to get people to come watch it. Something along the lines of Experienced thief converts to using necro.
Review: Through the use of Music and on screen messages barti documents how he changed from using a theif dealing 1-2 hit kills of up to 10k damage in one hit in one case and learning the art of a power necro using theorys learnt from playing a theif.
Through the use of a “MONTAGE” he show his training of the dark arts.
Now full trained hes may not doing 10k damage in one skill but skillfully using combinations of necro skills to down his opponents with realative ease.

And yea its a montarge lol, I think I was confused in south park they called it a montage and in rocky too but i guess the good word was a montarge. Thing learned today ! i’m always happy to learn.
I like your review and i’m glad you got the story in the movie there’s a subtle story about it and i think you got it pretty good. skillfully i wouldn’t call myself skilful by any means im no pro player but i learn everyday a lot of classes can be countered if they use there signature moves on another class .. altho pistolwhip is a hard one when you see 15k go in like half a second.. you can’t help but react wrongly . But the heartseeker rogues they go down pretty fast.. hundred blade warriors arent that tough.. and mesmers can be controlled by proper use of wells and life transfer.. the only class that can really give me a hard time constantly are shieldwearing users who.. block a lot of my key crowd control attacks but i just try to find ways around ,
like some people say here.. a good players thinks of strategies a bad player just nags about it. when i first saw a hundred blade warriors totally trash my rogue in 2 seconds i was like.. wow i wanna do that too, then i rolled a while with the warrior and got totally facemelted by a necromancer who basicly just feared and controlled me till i was death with a full hp bar left.. so i thought to myself wow that class is cool i wanna play one of those ;D.
I’m gonna stick with my necro and aspire to be better and have better control tho, necro’s are just a great class imo can’t help but love em.
I can beat all classes and all classes can beat me that’s why i like this game. it’s easy to learn but hard to master, it’s the players that make the difference. i think the biggest mistake i make it that i probably evade to much comming from unreal where dodging is really key its hard to not do it here

I skipped through the first part, but the gameplay was really impressive, I loved how well you took on 2-4 players on without any fear, usually holding out until your allies made it there to lend a hand, and even on a few you beat them in 2 or 3 vs 1’s.
I couldn’t tell but it looked like you were using the bugged siphon health traits from the blood line which were only giving around 28 hp on hit, I think once they fix that necros will be extremely potent in PvP
Hi thor rising thanks for the kind words ! And yea i was using the bugged trait from the bloodline i know it doesn’t give back a lot but every lill bit counts, if they actually make it scale better or make it how its supposed to be then it would be awesome yea .
@phearlo i tried conditionmancer too but just waving your sceptre around in the air and see the dots stack is just not my cup of thea. atm im trying out a full spectral build and there’s some potential there too but it will take some time to really master that. there seems to be some really nice combo potential in the spectral department.
I really enjoyed this. cracked up when ‘push it to the limit’ started playing for the montage. Enjoyed the music selection, the video, etc. well done. The necro pvp segment did run a bit long. By itself it woulnt have been too long, but with the initial story with the thief and the montage it pushes the limits.

On a serious note impressive gameplay, length as others have stated a bit much which makes it feel like it drags on a little and the whole ‘montage’ thing was really a waste of space and not entertaining at all even though i could see what you were trying to accomplish I and I’m sure many others simply ended skipping it.

I disagree, I found it pretty entertaining
thanks i know it was maybe a bit over the top but i really wanted to put it in and yea im a great fan of south park myself and the montage song of south park was awesome but it only is like 1 minute long wich wasnt enough time to explain things..
and about the iron maiden thing i really thought about putting that song in if i made it a lill longer it would ve def be in there maybe in the next movie.
