1. Embrace the Darkness is like Epidemic (except about 72.3 times better).

2. Taunt is like an inverse Fear (they run towards you rather than away from you)

3. ArenaNet is trolling Revenant players by only confirming hammer, mace, and axe as weapons for them, even though we saw Rytlock in a cutscene using his fiery dragon sword, just like they trolled us by giving Trehearne a greatsword (except Revenants probably won’t have to wait 3 years to get it).

Any other similarities?

Get your facts straight. Taunt isn’t a revenant-only thing, new shinies will be spread through all professions.

2. Embrace the dark sounds OP right, but it only copies your own conditions to enemies, so what if you make it a reflecting duel, (5 stacks of bleeding, poison, 2 torment, 5 confusion is on a revenant, uses embrace the dark, necro gets all conditions and reflects them or eats them, who would die first ?

Oh man, Terror now causes Taunt to do damage,more damage if your foe is AAing, Necro Style:Retaliation!!!

Only true against Necros though. A Necro would absolutely blast you if you tried that, but the other common condi builds don’t tend to have great removal.

Am I the only one worried about clearly warriors are going to get an OP amount of taunt at their disposal.

Umm… in case anyone is actually discussing the points I raised seriously, my post was intended as a joke!

Joke noted but the way they switch weapon abilities by stance reminds me more of ele’s if anything. I’m curious how they build up their charge, and if its simliar to lifeforce or warriors (never played one).

Its sounding like they threw a warrior, necro and ele in a blender.

Necromancers are tanky condition users.

The Revenant’s F1 has a tanky mode and a condition mode. Necromancers also use F1 to “tank.” but the Revenants will have access to defense instead of life force derived HP.

Actually revenants will not all have those two legends, those were just the two they showed off.

Considering we don’t know all the skills that Mr Revie has, we’ll have to wait and see with that match-up.
