Id love to help out but ive never done a podcast or anything like one lol i specialize i. Power necros in dungeons and wvw. I do dabble in condi from time to time but i find it to be less effective for my playstyle

I would love to be part of this but I have quite a few things I have to take care of outside of the game first

As much as I would enjoy it, the timing of the podcast is unsuitable for me. The schedule would have to change for me to participate.

Timing is definitely something we can talk about and work with anyone who would like to be on but can’t with the current time.

Nah, we just stopped advertising in the forums, and did more advertising on reddit, but I will start posting the new shows here.

This actually sounds like it could be a whole lot of fun, but I’ve never done an organized/recorded discussion before, and I tend to swear a lot when it there’s no censorship. I also don’t claim to have my Expert certification.

Having a jam session on GW2 sounds like a hoot though, as I only know 1 other person who plays and I love discussing mechanics and such.

I main Necro. Most of my in-game time is roaming around WvW solo in a Power/DS spec. I try to stick to the Profession Balance and the Necro subforums most. I only truly know enough about Warrior to speak to the class with any experience-born depth, but the Warrior forums have always been horribly dull, in my opinion.

Yep we’re aiming to restart it. We had a long session of things coming up, plus Tenderly was on his way out of the game, and I was a bit burnt out, both in game and with the forums. But once we get things settled we’ll be back strong.

I’ve been avoiding the forums for the most part, as well as my necro after having been disappointed with all the nerfs, but the upcoming changes have peaked my interest and I may revisit my necro again. My schedule is a little unpredictable lately but if we could work around it I would be interested in doing some more shows. I’ve been playing the other classes, mainly ranger and engi, so I’m going to have to brush up on my necro some more first.

Thats the good think about gw2 (like gw1) you can stop playing it and come back without losing too much.

If its black moa from EU then he used to play necro for a long time and he knows his stuff. Whether that translates into good entertainment and/or current knowledge (not seen him in ages) remains to be seen. But he was a really good necro should he should have some good insight.

We’ll see. I mean I’m bad at the game, don’t play it nearly as much as other people, and boring, but we’ve still managed a decent show.

Just as a head’s up, Renewing Blast (Life Blast heals allies) was announced to have a base value of ~800, scaling with healing power. If you thought it could be decent with half that base, now what do you think?

That is pretty significant. I think the real deciding factor will be whether there are situations were it can be used, since a constant 800+ healing per second is pretty big. It certainly solidifies our spot as by far the best pure healing profession in the game.

But it really comes down to when could you get good affect out of it. I expect to see it in organized zergs (assuming it heals multiple people, that is a lot of healing to blast through your frontline), dungeons, and maybe the hard PvE boss content. But its all up to getting it to hit.

Sorry, no podcast this week. We tried and then I was told/noticed that it was going out a lot, and I was dropping 50% frames. Turns out I had 3 mb/s DL speed, so cancelled the podcast and we’ll figure it out by next week. Worst case we’ll have to go back to non-live shows.

The 2 hour PVP Extravaganza is up

What was that thing mentioned with gaining 1% life force per enemy hit with a well at around 22:00? It was difficult to make out what was said.

Its a bug with Well of Corruption, that gives you 1% LF per person per tick. They mention it as they lead in to it (although it took me two tries to get it).

Since the next topic is attrition, may I request an appearance, schedule permitting? Sounds like a great topic to discuss live.
