80 Necro Has Questions
Wells are solid for PvE and sPvP. They can be great in WvW too if you take the ground target option. Otherwise, i’d recommend you only take two wells along with spectral walk for quick line penetration followed by auto extraction if you survive long enough :P
As far as dungeons are concerned, that’s a matter for your team. It’s frustrating when a team has area damagers, such as wells or aoe elemental nukes, and then somebody’s using blast-type crowd control. Just try to communicate to your party that clustered enemies will die faster than moving targets :P
Yeah I take the ground targeting for well skills. I try to stack Cond. DMG and Precision. I do switch up if needed to something else if my party ask, I just don’t see many people running around using wells. Most Necro’s on my server run minions which are cool and all but I run Secpter/Dagger and Staff so I just kite which I used to do from Warhammer. Any idea as to which of the 2 well skills I should pick up and which one I should drop for spectral walk?
for blood magic i would rather take mark of evasion and faster wells for this build
for death switching between larger and faster marks depending if you are fighting multiple mobs or one strong one. personally i like fast marks bit more.
curses, terror is bad 44+power only. .. rather take enfeebling blood on shroud. or something.
Those are the changes I would make. ahh and little wish rather link to skill builder (plenty of different sites that let you link your build-) makes it easier to look what you got than trying figure out what number was what trait.
edit:
for wells blind and suffering are imho best in pve and great in pvp too though some cases well of power can be helpful as well corruption.
LittleRide,
Is Spectral Walk that good? What are the common uses of it? I know that it provides Swiftness for +33s which I can see as being a great tool in PvP/WvW — but aside from that aspect, what exactly does it do? Do you mind providing an example/situation? (Also, when you have this swiftness, does the trait that allows you to move faster w/ dagger or in Death Shroud stack?)
Clearly, I have 0 Spectral skills as I am doing full Condition build. My skills are Blood is power/Epidemic/Power Signet and Lich — though if I find something to replace Power Signet with that’d be great (but mainly I use it for the +4/5 conditions it add for feast of corruption).
Appreciate the advice
It’s a good skill for escaping, I really don’t use it all that much. You can end the skill I believe and end up where you are at without going back to the orginal casting point. I would continue to run your current build, many people have many play styles. I am going to be testing out Spectral Walk soon. I will repost anything I find here and let you know how good it actually is.

Thanks for the advice, I am going to use it, would you switch Reapers Procetion out? For the larger marks? I enjoy running Reapers Protection for the little extra time it gives me to escape.
Thanks — and for your question regarding wells (assuming you’re in dungeon/Wvw)
If I had to choose 2 I’d pick
Well of Suffering – vulnerability + Damage
Well of – whichever one that causes blind
the 3rd is toss up imo
Well of – can go either way, if you’re doing a WvW/dungeon and you have a guard, I’d prob go with turning boons into conditions on foes. If not, maybe the one where it turns conditions on teammates into boons.
