A Minion Master revamp idea
This is a bad idea.
1) Minions don’t bug out because of their actives, more actives just allows for more chances to try to “fix” their bugs by resetting aggro. They’ll still bug out.
2) Power creep.
3) This isn’t the kind of changes we need to minions. Its basically wasting time to indirectly only sort-of fix one problem while bringing up others.
Sadly, Bhawd has the right of it. These would be a “one step forward, two steps back” scenario.
The best way to fix minions is to remove them and replace them with a new set of actually useful skills. Similar treatment should be applied to turrets at this point.
Serenke, that’s just unhelpful and mean spirited. some of us actually like the idea of commanding an undead legion, not to mention they’re almost guaranteed to be buffed to usefulness when HoT comes out, or even before.
1) Power creep

3) replacing the “shout” minions
Not exactly in that order, just suggesting what should be fixed beforehand.
The
OK instead of all minions being redone the way I proposed how about just 1 or 2 new minion skills that use this mechanic.. OR more likely a MM focused elite specialization in the future that uses this system.. call it The Dark Lord? I still think getting extra skills (or sub skills) is never a bad thing because it opens up lots more combos making us less predictable.
Ok how about the do something to get MMs more minions. I mean I really don’t feel like I control an undead “hoard” with 5 or 6 minions. How about a trait that lets you summon 2 weaker minions (say 25% weaker) per summon, call it Undead Hoard. I was reading how MMs have been using their minions as a distraction in PvP because its hard to target the master with so many other enemies on the board. double the minions double the trouble?.. Thoughts?
