I got my first character to 80 last night and now I am seriously looking at runes.

What I don’t understand is whether or not you are allowed to get “stacking” effects from multiple runes. Specifically I am wondering about condition duration for right now.

For example, there are several runes that once you are wearing two pieces they give + 15% bleeding duration. Since I have 6 armor pieces, if I put one of those runes on two pieces, another rune with the same effect on two more pieces, and finally another rune with the same effect on two motre pieces, would they give me +45% bleeding duration? Or does that game not allow the exact same bonus multiple times? I assume that all runes work the same way?

Thanks very much for your help.

They give +45%
Common practice is to use 3x Krait + 3x Afflicted
Also 2x krait + 2x afflicted + 2x centaur

There are also mad king, lyssa, traveler, etc I forgot anything else. These give condition duration.

Does superior sigil of malice increase the duration of fear as well?

Fear is a condition, so yes, the Sigil of Malice increases its duration as well.

Food can give 40% condition duration, Spite can add 30%, 30 in curses can add 33% bleed duration.

Generally, I avoid improving only bleed duration, anymore, because of the cap and because duration of other CC can be more useful.

Scepter duration =/= bleed duration! Stop doing this, people! Lingering Curse applies to only the bleed, poison, and cripple generated by 4 skills (3 of which are in the auto-attack chain of Scepter). It does not apply to Blood is Power, Enfeebling Blood, Mark of Blood, Mark of Evasion, Signet of Spite, Tides of Blood, Sigils of Earth or Geomancy, or Barbed Precision.

I don’t know if it applies to Dark Path or not, though. May be worth looking into, since that would likely mean it applies to Doom and Tainted Shackles as well (I don’t think it does).

It doesn’t have any effect on the DS skills.

Also, it doesn’t really increase the duration, but rather sets the base duration on those skills to a new value (you know this, but for the others that don’t).

No effect on DS is what I figured, since that would make the trait really, really powerful.
