About reaper shroud 2 (deaths charge)
Yea it did get clunky, doesn’t go the whole distance half the time and I sometimes randomly go backwards even when I have no target.
Still, I’m gonna say it’s better overall. It seems to be just a bug making it do the weird somersaults, and, frankly, I like being able to do the nearly 2k burst at the end of the charge and do damage to someone as well as blind them basically every time I use it

I personally say screw it, make it a GTAOE working like the Warrior GS and Fiery GS leaps/dashes. But i can see where people come from with having it targeted, it’S quite nice that it sometimes follows them even if the try to move out of the way, and hitting that last hit for boon corruption is important. However randomly dashing in the wrong direction or dashing to enemies you did not target needs to STOP. If they cannot fix it until launch, it’d be better of being ground targeted instead of having it bugged for 3 years til they bother to make it actually work correctly.
I WvW sometimes when u dont have a Target and wanna “leap away” it actually leps u wrong way, its very buggy and in situations as I described its suicide to use it. I hope/think this is a bug tho and will get fixed.

Yup there are a few threads to that already. It is seriously annoying. I mean afaik Eles lighting rush still works normally.
IMO the old death’s charge needed some adjustment, because it was too uncontrollable most of the time.
You had very little control over the direction and next to no control over the distance traveled.
The new one isn’t better though. Often it just goes in a random direction (without a target).
And the distance covered is barely 2/3rd of the distance of the BWE1 charge, if not half.
Did you guys not read the notes or something. It works exactly like warrior sword 2 Savage Leap. I Found this skill to be absolutly perfect now. It doesn’t spin past the target anymore. You can still untarget everything and use it to dash in the direction you want.

Also the distance traveled is significantly less than before. Compare the last link there, to the distance (couldn’t find a better video this quickly) traveled in the OPs link from the BWE#1 (https://youtu.be/Nl6IcQivNhU?t=36s).
And you’ll see it’s easily half the distance if not less.

Did you not read the thread or something. Deaths charge is severely bugged currently, resulting in far less range and often in jumping in a completely random direction if nothing has been targeted, when it should just go where you are facing.
Yeah, it get a bit clunky at end of animation, feeling you didn’t ran the entire range of it.
Its probably going less distance cus you hit something and its not supposed to pass through stuff anymore. As for it not going where you want I guess now that u mention It I may have not gone where I wanted a couple times.

I use it to roam around WvW map, without anything targeted. So it isn’t hitting anything on the way, the skill got clunky and glitched with the changes on this BWE.

The damage was pretty mediocre, but if it is supposed to be a gap closer/reflect then I can see why that might be. I also find it odd that there is only one chill/vulnerability skill in Reaper-shroud, R5. So some added chill to a gap closer seems an interesting idea.

The anti-projectile effect doesn’t reflect, it just destroys the projectiles, IIRC.
While it’s not inherent, if you trait Chilling Darkness it works amazingly with Death’s Charge. Don’t forget to add in Path of Corruption for 2 boon corruptions and AoE blind+chill on a 6s cooldown!
There seems to be something very odd happening to this skill, I noticed when I used it in the middle of a fight I would seem to “About face” 180 away from my target before snapping back around and the skill actually going after them and I lost distance because of this. (it feels)
