Hi all,
Still seeing alot of negativity regarding the Necromancer class. I know the class has multiple bugs but until they get fixed we have to deal with them. Regardless I still believe Necromancer is one of the strongest most versatile class in the game. I always have a blast when playing Necro. Even if I have to dodge dip duck dive and dodge in PvE to accomplish what I just did by hitting 2 buttons on my guardian. There was a quote by Jon Peters that had alot of backlash from the community that stated:
John P. -
“No we arent ignoring Necro, but once people start mastering DS, I’m afraid of how strong Necro will be. Give it some time for the average player to learn these things.”
So I decided to make a build that focused on active DS gameplay and came up with the following:
PvE Active Death Shroud Healing / Condition Removal
http://tinyurl.com/9xuny4z
PvP Active Death Shroud Healing / Condition Removal
http://tinyurl.com/8mbx48x
Ex: Well of blood heals for 600+ each tick lasting for 10 seconds in those 10 seconds you can enter/leave DS twice adding an extra 1200+ health to allies.
Not a 1v1 build.
I’ve used this build for a couple days now come check it out on my stream http://www.twitch.tv/Ellisdx3
Enjoy!

Interesting concept. For the pve version, I think this is probably the closest thing one can get toward a traditional “healer” archetype. I’m curious on how it fares in dungeons, especially the harder ones Some videos would be nice.
Sorry but that trait is awful.
Especially compared to the guardian’s version.
And not to be mean, but don’t use that as an excuse that we have alot of build variety or w/e. Saying Necro is perfectly fine only hurts us.
Death Shroud has saved me countless of times as well as provided health to allies with the right trait. Using it in combination with skills and traits which promote life force can really increase the amount of health you have between normal health, healing skill, life drain, (minions distracting enemies), death shroud, and soon again healing skill as well as ever increasing life force as you fight. Does it make you super powerful? No, but sometimes all you need to win a fight is enough time to spread your enemies thin, and being able to run, dodge, and avoid any damage with the methods above while hitting back with marks, minions, conditions, and ranged attacks can do the trick.

Regarding the PvP build: why wouldn’t you take Retaliation and Stability when entering DS? (spite V, soul reaping XI)
DS is a 2nd healthpool for absorbing dmg because we lack defensive CC and are uber susceptible to chain CC, not for condition removal – which half our skills can do anyways. Putting 30 points into Soul Reaping and not grabbing the stability trait? not a choice I would’ve made
Because it doesnt work with what im trying to do with the build, I’m trying to make an active DS play style that supports your team, condition removal + heal every 5 sec > 3sec stability every 10 imo (again only playstyle choice). Ever have that massive stack of bleed on you with no condi removal? Or unwilling to blow a cooldown to remove it? I have and going into DS fixes this problem, Get rooted? Go into DS although bleeds are prioritized if you get rooted without condi’s on you then this works wonders. Half our skills remove conditions? Look at the build…..I run well of blood which has 20% chance to remove condition on projectile, well of power and putrid mark is what i have to remove condition….what do i do when these are on CD? I can run off hand dagger but i prefer focus for this build. Lived without stability in every other build i can live without it with this one. As for the PvE build 5 sec DS allows for a quick and easy way to remove conditions that plague signet is giving you.
Don’t forget that I run Melandru which is -25% condi and stun duration.
I thought Plague Signet was still bugged in that while you are being afflicted with your allies’ conditions, it does not actually remove them from said allies.
If it is, using this signet and then using DS to cure these conditions seems like a pointless exercise.
Bugged or not the option exists, the entire class is bugged maybe playing necromancer is a pointless exercise
