Has anyone tried or thought about trying a 5 man or more necro team for wvw? Would it be viable? I’m at work and bored but couldn’t find any results to this. All ideas welcome.

Viable? Sure, in theory you could be nearly immune to conditions, have full stacks of bleeding/poison/vulnerability/chill on people, just giving 5 necros epidemic and full condition specs and I’m sure it would be lulzy at least. It’d just be up to the people in question to make a team build (instead of just individual builds) and then execute in game. I could see it being very strong on gate defense/offense though.

On paper 3 necros in Arah should be beast. On paper 25 stacks of bleeds and other conditions and 3 necros riding signet of Undeath while fighting lupi sounds OP right? Yes I thought that as well. In reality ive never been able to get past lupi with 2 other necros. How come you ask? I have no friggin clue >_<

On paper 5 necros is baws in WvW. On paper necro is baws period.

If you have at least one condition necro, adding any other condition necros would be a bad idea in PVE. One necro can reliably keep up 20 bleeds and poison, so another condition necro would be a waste. So even on paper, I would say in arah more than 1 necro isn’t a good plan.

Against massive zergs a coodrinated epidemic/staff bomb would be pretty cool, but really not any cooler than other 5 class coordinate combos. 5 churning earths, 5 firestorms, 5 ranger AOE. Also those other examples with insta-down people, while the necro one won’t.

2 Conditionmancers and 3 powermancers would be awesome. Conditonmacers would stand in back and spread stuff while the powermancers ether jugg build for tanking or wellomancer for massive well aoes and burst. Anymore than 2 conditionmancers though and its useless.
