Have you seen the list of necro bugs longer then all the other professions combined? That anet appearently wasn’t even aware is pretty telling of their feelings towards necros.

(spoiler: it’s apathy)

the last time ANet claimed that necros were the class they were the most worried about and most needed of love, they nerfed scepter to hell and back.

the only love ANet is capable of delivering to the necro class is the one you can find in the showers of a county jail.

I rather they ignore us…

To be honest alot of the “fixes” were nerfs, especially all the mesmer ones.

I have to agree with BCDragon, the Necro’s have a lot of issues and will take a week or two (perhaps even more) to resolve.

I’d rather ANet fix the profession properly than halfkitten rush something to stop all the whining and crying.

I’m new to GW2, I will continue to play my Necro and wait patiently for a fix. I’m confident that we will get some love very soon.

Why do you think I haven’t played any other class? Tried them all. But I already invested my time in necro – two sets of exotic, max crafting skills, 100% map, etc-etc.
I simply don’t want to do it all again in next several months.

I think Necro’s have had more ANET comments than all the other professions combined…so there is that.

I do think that there will be a bundle fix. Though, a quick fix here and there would have been nice, the marks being blockable and the necrotic grasp come to my mind.

There are several TL;DR threads explaining over and over again the small and big things that generally all necromancers feel is wrong with the class. Sadly , it seems every other class who is not complaining about anything needs to be worked on before they work with necro’s.

Anet Doesnt ‘owe’ me or anyone playing this game a word on what they intend to do. Or if they intend to do anything about necromancers.

It sounds even more ridiculous if you consider that Jon Peters said that the necro would still need a lot of love during BWE3, shortly before they hit him with the nerf bat.

Guys, every profession, save for warriors and guardians, has threads just like this one. Every profession has issues that the players feel the devs have been ignoring.

you guys are kitten idiots.

we do not “feel” that things are wrong with our class. things ARE wrong with our class. click that little stickied link at the top of the necromancer forums for a kitten list of them if you need proof.

we complain because patch after patch other classes get their skills and mechanics fixed and necromancer does not. there was even 1 patch where EVERY SINGLE CLASS EXCEPT NECROMANCER got fixes to their class.

some skills are so broken and crucial to certain builds right now that we can’t even properly test those builds, yet we still get nerfs to our skills before they are even fixed and can be accurately assessed.

As for what Anet “owes us” as far as telling us what they plan to do – Not a single kitten do I give. I don’t care about what they “plan” to do or what they say they are “going to do eventually”. I care about what gets fixed. And so far the track record for fixes to necromancer is non-existent.

Actually if you re-read my post it very casually and kindly states that I would like some answers from anet and am a little worried as to why other classes have gotten fixes and not ours. Infact I have been posting open letters to anet just about every other day to get some official work on the matter. All of which get moderated and deleted for " calling out the company" mind you. I know exactly why people are complaining because I’ve been here since day one complaining also.

Anet didn’t even fix one bug for necromancers…. i guess it is better to play professions that the lead developer plays so we know that we will get immediate bug fixes and etc… time to reroll to a warrior…

Yeah, Jon the dev seems to be afraid of necromancer’s OP death shroud build so he doesn’t dare play a necromancer . .

I bet he plays a warrior though, seeing as they got buffed in the latest patch, probably because he thought they needed to be a bit stronger to tackle the all mighty DS necro . .

The proper course of action is to wait until the metagame stabilizes before making any drastic changes. He hypothesizes that the death shroud mechanic could potentially be of great strategic use, they observe for a good amount of time, and they make the changes they think are necessary. It is a very scientific way to go about the game rather than reacting to loud and immediate pleas.

As for the kitten whining and wanting their refund back, do you really think you didn’t get $60 worth out of the game? Is it ethical for me to return my copy of skyrim after I had already beaten and enjoyed the hell out of it because high level destruction is weak?

Hate to break it for you, but “l2p” was exactly the message the dev sent in his reply. There are many good posts here, at gw2guru, and reddit about why necro’s profession ability, DS, needs serious revision, and none of those key points was addressed in that dev reply.

And yeah, this stuff is really discouraging. Even if we don’t see immediate updates to the class, at least acknowledge people’s complains are legit, and give us a road map to expect in the short future. Instead we get nothing but l2p and then silence. If this keeps up people are just gonna reroll a different profession (myself included).

the issues have been around since beta so we are going on almost 2 months now with zero bug fixes, DS nerf andscepter nerf despite them saying in beta that necros needed the most love.

My necro is amazing, the condition damage is unstoppable… I don’t think a buff is necessary. Most of these updates were for bug fixes for the classes anyways.

negatives:
-They said necros needed the most love a while ago, but yet have given only nerfs
-A large amount of bugs carried from BWEs to the release for some reason

positives:
+said in a week or more we should see bug fixes

positives in the right light:
~A large number of the bugs are borderline game breaking, which means a bug fix could be the equivalent of a massive buff.
~We could still end up seeing that necro love

Before coming to any conclusion I’d give Anet the week or two more and see if they follow up.

We are indeed Necromancers, NOT Emomancers.

Right, why waste time on another class when you can post random, meaningless kittenkitten here.

I don’t believe an update is necessary.. Like Ashtenea, condition dmg is awesome (gotta love Epidemic!), I can support by switching to wells, I can kite with Scepter or Staff (both!), I have good survivability in comparison to some other profs… The only thing I would like to see changed is more gear with a Toughness/+Condition dmg combo rather than Vit/Condition dmg, but that might be personal preference.

Discussions like these happen with every MMO. Although fixes are necessary where justified, you’ll always have ppl that want their class to be slightly better than any other class. I really hope ANET keeps a firm foot on the ground and doesn’t give in too much because in the end you’ll have a broken game (look at what Blizz did, right..). Also, if Necro isn’t for you, or it drives you to cry for buffs at fora all day, then you should probably re-roll… imo
