Anyone else worried about this new skill from the next Living Story?

Prepare for battle with a new universal healing skill! A dose of this cutting-edge Antitoxin Spray will cleanse yourself and nearby allies of poison, torment, confusion, and toxin. This skill is available to characters of all professions.”

WvW really doesn’t need anymore condition removals. Why does Anet continue to hate on conditions? Now everyone gets a healing skill that’s better than Consume Conditions in WvW (because this new one heal allies, not just yourself).

We are already screwed over by that 25 bleed cap. Isn’t that enough torture?

It also screw necros over in PvE, specially dungeons. AoE condition removal used to be one of the necro’s strengths. Now everyone and their mothers can AoE remove condition.

I wouldnt say aoe condi removal was a necro strength. Guardians and mesmers could do it with low cooldowns and mesmer can do it even better since aoe mantras. Also fairly sure its pve only. But i suppose it could be available in WvW. Which would be a problem. It wont be better than consume.

It only heals 4 types of conditions (one of which we don’t even know the mechanics of, and might end up being an NPC-only / Tower only condition).

It doesn’t heal bleed or burn as far as damaging conditions, and doesn’t heal any of the non-damage conditions like Weakness, Cripple, ect.

I don’t think its going to be that big a deal. You’ll still need normal condition cleanses. And who knows how good of a heal its going to be (assuming its in the healing slot), it might get little use it if heals too little.

Consume Condition will probably be still better if you just want to heal yourself. But in WvW it should be obvious that Antitoxin Spray is better. It is a AoE healing + condition removal.

I can already see what the commanders will do.

Antitoxin Spray is also better than the Well of Blood. Well of Blood casts a light field which ruins the water field. Antitoxin Spray do not leave behind a light field.

They could of course give Antitoxin Spray a recharge of 120 seconds or something. But then this new skill would be useless.

Wait until we know the heal, cooldown, activation time, and radius of the skill. Then we will know if it’s a problem.

Poison, torment, confusion, and toxin removal are going to be useless in WvW, it isn’t going to be that big of a deal.

There is zero reason to raise the alarms till we actually get hard facts on the skill, numbers and so on. It could end up being like the racial skills, which range from extremely situational to hilarious weak.

People raised a fit when ascended gear was first introduced and acted like it would be a requirement for everything from then on………..here we are now and we see how that turned out. I’ve gone up to fractals 30 with zero ascended/AR myself.

To be fair, ascended is a WvW problem, not a PVE problem. You can do 100% of the PVE in the game with rare or lower gear if you are careful and patient enough (possibly with DPS race bosses excluded).

Where the ridiculous stat inflation comes into play in WvW, where the extra stats, damage, start to stack with other extra stat buffs, turn a fairly evenly matched fight, into a much bigger problem.

I beat plenty of people equipped with ascended gear when I was still in exotics, only ever got some ascended gear because I had the laurels and commendations sitting around. If I lose a fight in WvW, it’s because I got outplayed, simple as that.

Granted, that was on my Guard, I’ll see if that holds true once my necro gets there.

Exclusive or not, we are one of the classes that good at this. If they release a dungeon full of conditions, it will definitely promote more build diversity. But then they give this to everyone. ?(~_~)?

Well, I’m focusing more on pve. Srsly, how often you feel the need to remove conditions in dungeon? Cliffside is the only I think that need cond. removal.

The content they are introducing probably contains quite some conditions. Otherwise why give us this new skills? I just feel like it’s a great chance for some classes, including necro to shine. ofc no ones know what they will release yet. I just think it would be a great way to promote build diversity.

Krait in general are condition-heavy foes (for PvE). Lots of bleeding and poison, but also snares and occasional confusion. With new Krait enemies, it’s almost assured that this LS will be very condition-heavy, which may finally mean Necros become desired in the content, especially with the bug fixes to the “shouts remove condition traits” on Guardian and Warrior.

Instead of waiting for them to fix condition system, I want direct-damage(power) alternative weapons to staff/scepter-dagger for ranged aoe attacks. Current power weapons are single targeted. Condition damage started to be easily removable. I can quit using condition build when they add alternative aoe target weapons for power builds.
