Any Condi running full dire?
If you’re dealing with being greatly outnumbered, more Dire gear won’t help you one bit.

I disagree (as long as the ton of people outnumbering you aren’t all equally skilled).
On my full dire build of the esports my life blast inflicts 6 conditions. Basically, just using epidemic after 1 life blast downs multiple players with ease as long as I follow up by spamming more esports abilities like marks/tainted shackles/grasping dead/etc.
This is the build I use when I feel like putting zero effort into killing opponents. (Kinda like meta builds do! lolrekt)
Have fun losing no fights at all. Unless you meet a diamond skin ele, I guess. Maybe.

Someone’s salty. And full of lies.

Not hard to kill noobs when your amount of condi spam available outnumbers your opponents condi defense in many situations. Zerker longbow rangers, any engineer build, etc. You can very easily overwhelm them.
Helps that necromancer has some broken undodgeable (like other classes have) skills like marks and grasping dead. You’re not going to be dodging/blocking any of that other than luck.

How are any marks or Grasping Dead “undodgable?” Grasping Dead in particular is vulnerable to every possible negation technique in the game and, with a 3/4 second cast (same with all staff marks) is not difficult to do so with.
So, may want to do some actual research before you comment on that.
For the record, Longbow Rangers come in two main variants: the “ultra-glass” and the far more dangerous “Survival of the Fittest.” Good luck overwhelming the condition removal on the later.

Condition Necromancer is one of the weakest condition builds available. Condition Mes, Engi, Ranger, Thief heck even Warrior do it better than Necro… Necromancer’s just have more health and spike damage via Terror.
And don’t try to defend zerker builds… So what, a condition Necro is OP because it can melt a glassy Ranger? Not the Necro’s fault the Ranger is running full offense with no defense… Don’t cry if you don’t bring the proper tools to counter. It’s like taking all your armor off then saying “omg you hit too hard.”

Dire has its merits but it’s certainly not the ultimate 1v1 faceroller you make it out to be.
Also, Withering Precision, really?

Uhm, rangers have arguably some of the best condition removal in the game. If you choose to build incorrectly it’s your own fault.
Necro won’t get a chance to kill an engineer if hes decent and has slickshoes. Without slickshoes or heavy cc necro wins because it’s weak to cc and strong against conditions. No cc and loads of conditions = Counter. We have plenty of them. Thief > Mes, Gaurd > thief ect.

You can dodge everything you listed. Marks need a trait to become unblockable. Theres no reason you can’t dodge grasping hands of any of the marks.

You can also dodge steal from thief but it’s probably not going to happen other than luck or prediction.

You are comparing an instant cast (literally impossible to react to) to 3/4 second casts. It doesn’t take luck to dodge any of the Necro skills you listed, it takes a bit of attention.
OK returning to the original post…
I did run full Dire / Perplexity in WvW roaming and, if I’m honest, it doesn’t save you.
IF you are with a havoc group you MAY last a little bit longer when you are (inevitably) focussed.
If you are solo-roaming and you get caught by more than 1 player of equal or greater skill on any of the popular WvW roaming specs you will die, regardless of if you are full Dire or not. If you go more glassy (read Carrion) you have a fair chance of taking one of them with you…
I had a dire set but salvaged it. Running a bunker set works better with power or healing. I still have an ancient soldier’s air set for WvW and a somewhat newer shaman’s exuberance set strugging PUGs but I need the bag space so these two are the only 2 def, 1 off sets I carry.
I carry 10 sets of armor, btw, for experimenting.
Zerker x 2
Carrion
Rabid
Lyssa temple (precision, heal blend)
Celestial
Soldier’s
Shaman’s
Sinister
Rampager’s
I need to rework the runes on several sets and am planning a Zealot’s for the next one but am waiting for the HoT release and how it will change crafting. Most of my armor had condition damage and I have found Necromancer not especially good at applying it. Power and soft CC is better for Necro. Condition management does not equate to condition damage.
Dire is too low dps for any build without scepter for me.
