Any information on how much HP Death Shroud is worth?
I can’t give you a formula, but it is definitely based upon your vitality. This is apparent when using a weapon swap with vitality on it. When you swap to that weapon, your life force bar will go down, because the pool size is larger with the increased vitality.
I’m guessing 100% life force= 100% hp. I’m basing this on the fact that I was doing Arah explorable mode today and there’s these glowing mines on the ground that explode if you go near them. I used to blow them up by going near them in DS with 100% life force, they dealt a bit over 23k damage to me, leaving me with couple of % of life force left. My total HP was about 23,8k at the time.
So… if the Soul Reaping trait bonus works as one expects, a 30k+ HP necromancer could theoretically have 40k worth of DS? If so, that’s one hell of an extra health buffer!
Not sure of the answer, but I had an idea to test this using falling damage. When you fall in DS it eats through your life force, then HP. It seems to roughly double the distance I can jump. If you find a good spot to test in, you could tell exactly how much HP DS is giving you. I’m too lazy to have done it though.

It’s definitely based on total HP. In the Mists, I switched between a Carrion Amulet (+Vit) and a Rabid Amulet (no Vit). With the Rabid Amulet I had 18,372 HP and 100% LF. With the Carrion Amulet I had 24,812 HP and 74% LF. The difference in HP is 26.0% (6440 HP).
This still doesn’t tell us how much Death Shroud HP is, but it tells us that it is some multiple of your HP. One thing to note is that Life Force generation is always a percentage of total Life Force, whereas Healing is a flat number. So with very high HP your heal is proportionately less useful but your LF generation is the same (each % of LF is actually worth more).
