Been trying it out a lot lately and I’m enjoying it a lot more than nightmare runes. In a 6/6/0/0/2 build with hemophilia and afflicted runes many of your bleeds reach the next tick, which is nice.

I’ve been trying it out a lot on a typical rabid terror build but I’m using Fear of Death with afflicted runes which creates a pretty nice burst when you go down. (I like to make my builds around the fact that people focus necromancers)

The hardest build I find to fight against is sword/dagger thieves and a well played one usually just demolishes you if you make any mistake at all, so the burst when you go down actually helps lol. Either to buy you time for an ally to help or to possibly take away the last bit of health the enemy has left.

Anyone else give other runes than nightmare runes a chance?

I give other runes a chance, but not rune of the afflicted. You want to avoid going down, and that rune won’t really save you. Also the poison duration bonus is useless, scepter 1 + staff 3 already gives them pretty much perma poison.
I’d rather try builds with rune of the undead for example as a condi necro. But still I think nightmare would be the best.

Terrible choice, compared to nightmare runes you trade
- 15% for ALL condies for +15% bleed , same poison and -15% every other condi ( basicaly 15% all condi vs 15% more bleeds)
- you lose a stupid OP opener , 2-3,5s long fear aka 2-3.500 dmg every 90s…. all for the poison field and abysmall direct dmg WHEN U GO DOWN.

The runes are useless , the downed fear trait isnt bad actually, just others are better as in more reliable.

And build wise, going for extra bleed duration in a 6pt spite build isnt worth it. super long bleeds WILL get cleansed , you need only longer regular and easpecialy fear durations in such a build – as youre basically a glassy condi burster.

The new PoC really opens up hemophillia over weakness shroud as you will very often corupt might into weakness – and with better uptime.

You dont need more bleeding duration than that + the rune can give u around +20% more ( 15% for nightmare case )
