Guild Wars 2

Recently I’ve been playing my necro more, and I’ve been having quite a lot of fun with D/F, pulling enemies into me with Spectral Grasp or teleporting to them with Dark Path, dropping Well of Suffering, bouncing Reaper’s Touch, and by that point they’re either dead or I can finish them off with simple dagger AA or Life Blast.

Was wondering whether or not many people had tried this, or if “condition master” is the supposed only way to go.

I love Reaper’s Touch but Axe 2 Ghastly Claws is WAY better than dagger AA, my GC routinely hits 15k by its self. Zerker necro is boss to kittens with condi!

I play this build all the time. It is pretty squishy (full zerk everything, scholars, 30/10/0/30). There is a decent amount of sustainability to be had in deathshroud with curses 5 or 6, whichever gives the 33% chance for 1% life force. My utilities are consume condi, plague form (to escape) cuz golem is bad, locust signet, signet of spite (for added power) and a third utility which is usually well of suffering but i rotate out frequently between plague signet (against condi), spectral grasp (for pulling off of walls), corrupt boon (guardian), etc..

I can also flip camps with this build in ~10 seconds solo, or before swords pop, whichever comes first. It’s great in small groups but falls apart in zerg fights unless you stay strictly back line. I also carry a staff for aoe in zerg fights.

Ya I love d/f I run it atm on my necro.. I started as a condi but got bored VERY EASY so I went power like any sane man would and it ran d/d for the start b/c condi removal why not, I was scared not a pro… kind of a pro now.. But now I run d/f on my own hybrid build I made up… Below is the link to the build I made up now I have been on Gw2 much so I do not fully remember if I have messed with any trinkets.

But this build offers decent amount of support/defense abilities so I pretty much can get away from zergs if I need to or if I need to fight an out numbered fight. Plus I still have nice amount of damage with all my spells.. Generally yes I can drop someone insanely fast with f4 and WOS but that is to much imo.. So I just use one or the other and pretty much win.. Now if the player knows what I am doing it is a nice fun fight… I also enjoy the regen from f4

Yeah, I generally like axe a bit better with focus, although you might try doing that combo with dagger/warhorn instead of focus. You can use the locust swarm before the pull, then immob them so they’ll be trapped in the locust swarm as well as your wells.

I’d have to check the number as to whether or not it would be better damage though… I think it would maybe be better life force, but the loss of vuln might hurt the damage.

Of course, it’s always nice to have the focus skill handy.

Do some math and don´t tell lies.

Dagger AA =>Axe 2, Axe 2 is ranged, but it does not deal more dmg.

I haven’t played in a while, but when I did I tried to use both axe and dagger as mainhands, switching when the right situation presented itself
