I mostly WvW, rather than sPvP. The Apothecary gear set is already available in sPvP (Shaman), as is the full Rabid set (Cond/Tough/Pre).

For those that sPvP and have tried these two sets, can you discuss a bit about the advantages/disadvantages between the two sets.

I’d obviously imagine that the Apothecary gear is a bit more survivability, but less DPS. How much more survivability do you see with it?

If you’re using well of blood, shaman’s is a big drop in damage, but a gigantic increase in survivability and support. If you’re using consume conditions, it’s a big drop in damage, a moderate increase in survivability, and a very small increase in support. If you’re planning to do 8v8, spec power instead.

If you’re not playing to win, don’t complain when you lose.

Thanks for the info, Mammoth. I should go test it some in the Mists — want to see how that gear does with 6x Dwayna runes.

I find Rabid better necros healing scaling is not very good. Also the Shamans PvP amulet is not exactly the same as the PvE one as Haley pointed out.
