Armor to get for a new player's WvW build?

Hi everyone, I just got the game the other day and used the boost to hit lvl 80. I went throw the HoT zones and got all the hero points for my Necro, and in doing so got a start on a decent grasp of the game. So question:

I enjoy just going along with the zerg in WvW, so I picked this build: https://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Reaper_-_Wells_Midline

It seems to be working well and fun for what I want to do in WvW. However, I am kind of lost on even where to start on working towards the armor I need for this build? Thus my question is if someone can give me some advice or point me to a resource to find out how I should start my journey on getting armor for this build.

If you’re new to the class, start of with soldiers armour and berserker trinkets.

As you become more comfortable, you can switch out to more berserker armour until you reach a point where you’re comfortable handling pressure, but still have optimal DPS.

Start saving for HOT armour later on – Marauders is pretty great.

80 Necro (5), 80 Guard (4), 80 Mesmer (3)
80 Ranger (3), 80 Warrior (3), 80 Thief (3)
80 Ele (2), 80 Engi (3), 80 Rev (2)

If you are asking where to get starting armor go to any wvw map spawn.

There are npcs that trade armor/trinkets/weapons for badges and gold. It will take a little time to get enough badges but you can also get karma gear there too I think?

You can get most core stats for weapons and armor but I think the trinkets only come as soldier (power/toughness/vita).

Also make sure you have a reward track selected. Triumphant Armor Reward track will give you guaranteed exotic armor box.

Trading Post stuff,

If you cannot afford strength rune set right away it’s fine,
Rune of the fire
Or
Rune of Hoelbrak (starting out food get loaf of saffron bread and stack with this rune set)
For starting out as they cheap and comparable.
Superior sigil of force is expensive so just start with the major version. It’s weak but it doesn’t matter starting out.
