I am finally ready to craft some ascended armor for my necromancer. I was thinking of going sinister since some of the bosses for raids can only be damage by conditions, that way I’ll be viable in both forms.

But I haven’t been here for awhile, so I want some opinions from my fellow necromancers on advice.

Honestly, you will get more of a gain from ascended weapons and trinkets than you ever would with ascended armor. Personally, that is all I am going to go for. The biggest benefit you will have from the ascended armor is, if you do not like the build, you can respec the armor at the mystic forge. Exo cannot do that.

However, if you still want that, just be careful about Rabid because you will draw the boss’ threat from having so much toughness. I went with a mix of Sinister and Apothecary and seemed to do well but reconsidering the two Apothecary items for Viper’s or something. If you want to remain a hybrid, Vipers is going to outshine Sinister.

I like Vipers armour the most right now.

Beserkers: Vipers: Sinister:

Power = 2382 = 2069 = 1983
Crit Chance = 49.71% = 32.1% = 49.71
Ferocity = 214% = 152.67% = 152.67%
Condi Damage = 0 = 1006 = 1319
Condi Duration = 0% = 36.67% = 0

Death Shroud = 1026 = 892 = 854
Dhummfire = 395 = 1150 = 1008

Yeah if your going for a condi set. Go vipers instead of sinister. Its more power and overall more condi dps due to condi duration.

While viper looks very good, I would think Carrion could be really good as well. The +power goes well with the free crit traits if you opt to go with those for a good mix of hybrid damage

I see. Is viper new? I don’t remember hearing about it until now.

Ugh, and it seems the only way to acquire it is going through exalted stuff.
