While you’re at it Anet replace Death Magic Adept minor with this and merge reanimator with PotH I’ll settle for 2% LF gain then!
Tbh 10% isn’t that OP. Mind that it’s essentialy only 2,5 second untraited DS duration without taking damage.
There’re also not that many CCs for regular builds. One or two is normal built-in amoun. Only builds which do have very high access to CC are mostly Warriors, Engineers (decaps).

I think this is a great idea.
As mentioned above, I think 10% would be a bit OP but maybe 5% would be fair and just enough to negate the incoming damage of the CC that landed.
While I totally like the idea per se, I’d like to point out that we already have access to spectral skills granting LF on activation (more if traited) and SA/SW granting passive LF on being hit. Having both SA+SW will grant 10% LF on activation plus a passive regen of 10% per hit on a 1sec internal cooldown.
Adding another 10% on top of that without internal cooldown whenever hit by some hard cc will grant like 20-25% LF on being hit by a single cc.
Given the fact that damage is already cut in half if we sit in DS would mean to regenerate roughly 3-4k LF, that translates to 6-8k hp, assuming only 15k DS pool. That’d be essentially a free healing skill every second and half a heal in between each proc per cc. Pretty decent I’d say

Hey look, Attrition ability! More accurately, this would be effective focus mitigation (though not negation).
The % life force gained is up for analysis on what would actually be balanced, but this sounds like a fantastic trait idea. Doesn’t negate the susceptibility of necros to CC, but it does let us deal with it without needing to use the escapes we don’t have. I added the idea to the Compilation of Death Magic Minors thread.

It does, actually. That was introduced with Spectral Walk’s reduction from 3% to 2% when hit.

Which by all rights makes Swalk worthless (Got wurm) and should be reverted to a 3% no icd and 5% no icd for Armor.
The ICD on armor is fine, the skill is amazing as is.

The skill is good in 1v1, worthless in rest, but it does need nerfs in 1v1 thus 8>5%LF but no icd.
Sorry for turning this into a discussion about SA/SW I just wanted to number crunch the idea a bit not steer this into offtopic land. What I tried to do is illustrate that the idea is awesome but might be :O numberwise.
I like this idea. I’d say 10% seems alright actually especially if the necro is running a more bunkerish build as I know when I’ve gotten my necro’s health to 32kish my lifeforce bar maxes out at around 20kish or so, 10% life force would equal 2k+ lifeforce gain in a single CC thrown your way doesn’t seem that much to be honest.
Should be the Death Magic 15 pt. minor.
