Battletorn's Spell Guide for WvW
Lot’s of work put into this. I’ll enjoy going through it. I hope you don’t mind if I make some suggestions for corrections. There will always be some errors with a guide of this size. There will also be some thing that I learn that I didn’t already know myself.
1. “Ranger’s roots are especially harmful because conditions cannot damage the roots and condition transfer doesn’t remove them.”
The binding root pulses immobilize. You can transfer the immobilize and dodge roll out of the binding root before it pulses again to escape it. You can see that done a couple of times at the beginning of the movie below.
Transfering binding root immobilize and rolling out
2. “Necros must commit to every fight because they cannot leap, stealth, or blink to get away.”
Well, we have the DS port but it kind of sucks since it requires a target and has a travel time. But, it can still save you sometimes.

Ah, yes. that is true. I haven’t updated that part. Thanks. You are indeed correct. When you transfer the immobilize, I think you transfer the one pulse which is probably just a second long but you need to get out of the roots asap.
Oh, and I want to add that my description of deathly swarm might be outdated as I am not sure as to how it performs in the latest patch. It may act very diffferently from spvp and wvw.

I’m rather certain that Deathly Swarm always applies three of your conditions to the target, while curing one of yours.
Or, to say the same thing in a different way: it transfers one of your conditions to each target, while also copying two other conditions to each target. Which conditions are transferred / copied are determined at the time of each bounce, so they will be different for each enemy.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.
Updated for root comments.
I don’t agree with everything(I am a war horn user, in combat), but who does.
You put a lot of work into that guide, and I’m sure it will help some players.
Great work man, impressed by the details.

Confirmed… good information here, and something I was not aware of. I assumed it only transfered the one.
Uh, no. I just tested this to confirm, and it transfers one condition to one enemy, and as it bounces twice after the initial hit that makes a total of 3 conditions.
Test performed using BiP and CPC in southsun on those lizard thingies. Started with bleeds/poison, hit one lizard, had poison left over.
Pretty sure Putrid Mark moves all conditions, regardless of how many allies, only to one opponent. Otherwise be like a little ally based epidemic, I wish.
