Guys. In your opinion what rune would you go for a condition build at PvE/WvW?
For now I am running with 6xUndeads, before it 3x Afflicted + 3xKrait, but in your opinion which runes can offer you a good condition damage performance overall?

Undead or the ones which give magic find + condition damage, if you’re after drops.

Undead runes are perfect for maxing out condition damage, since you will probably get the TA armor set (condition damage, precision, toughness), which in the end will result you having ~1500 condition damage, which is another ~75 condition damage (as 6x undead rune converts 5% toughness into condition damage), also these runes are fairly cheap since one is around 10 silver on the TP.

The other, and more expensive method, is the Rune of Scavenging (a full set will give you the same base condition damage as undead runes + 35% magic find, +Increased gold drops), they are about 2,5 gold on the TP tho.

Do not forget to buy a few Master Tuning Crystals (or lesser if youre not lvl 80) since they give you 6% toughness and 4% vitality back as condition damage and those crystals stack with the food you get from cooking recipes.

Undead runes → Standard PVE condition
Strength/of fire/Holebrak – Stack’o’mancer PVE condition

3xKrait and 3xAfflicted is weak because it can result in duration capping when paired with spite and food, damage is preffered to duration in WvW due to passive cond removal, mobs die quite quickly in PvE

Sorry if this is a big off tangent, but is Cond+Precision+Tough gear standard for PvE Condition builds? I went with the Power+Vitality+Cond set from CoF, so did I make the wrong choice?

Technically yes, in standard cond builds precision is preffered to power because it helps stacking bleeds and it contributes more to dps

With Rabid gear + and undead you can gain additional condition damage

The consensus is still out on the optimum amount of Rabid and Rampager pieces to use but for now I would focus on building a complete Rabid set

Also toughness is preffered to vitality because of undead runes and focussing crystal

Undead probably the best for pure condition. Though you’ll want to get some duration via other areas, hemo/scepter traits, food, or lastly, spite.

Superior Rune of Undead, do not use Necromancer if you go in Fractal, agony mecchanics punish high health pool, and we have already high health pool.

Superior Rune of Undead, do not use Necromancer if you go in Fractal, agony mecchanics punish high health pool, and we have already high health pool.

Undead runes give you toughness and condition damage, they do not increase your vitality or raise your health pool. You are thinking of Runes of the Lich which are similar to undead, but give a boost in vitality.

Increasing your toughness via undead runes will not increase the damage you take from agony, etc. In fact, toughness does not block or diminish condition damage. Which is why condition damage is a nice thing, unless they insta remove it.
