Best crafting discipline for Necro ??
none of the legendaries that you mentioned fit the typical necromancer
imo, artificer, tailor or jeweller would fit your needs most (although dagger is weaponsmith, and necro can use warhorn which is huntsman), it doesnt matter if you pick the wrong two for your necro though, as you can just have a different character as whatever you dont have
80 warr [Blaze Steelsoul], 80 ele [Blaze Nightstrike], 80 mesmer [Grim Shatterwhirl]
80 guard [Dusk Grimlight], 80 engi [Flintgear]
“… artificer, tailor or jeweller would fit your needs most…
Agreed. Of the three, tailor and jeweler are the closest two because Necromancer can use a number of weapons and they drop quite frequently so jewelry and tailor support the profession best. However, you can level any craft you like. The most important thing about crafting is the XP gained. Jeweler is a good second craft because it does not consume mob drops. Cooking is also a decent alternate but the variety of ingredients is limited by how much exploration you have completed so you will find gaps in recipes, and cooking will also fill up your inventory rather quickly, too.
Purchase the recipes from the master craftsmen as soon as you can use them because they will help bridge your skill-gain to the next tier of materials.
I do artificer and tailor so I can make my own exotic gear since I have never once gotten an exotic drop. Aside from that, cook would be a useful one, I find myself getting more use out of buff foods with my necro than other classes and it makes a more noticeable difference since we already have so many bugs, every little bit helps.
~Surrender fiend and you will get an easy death
~I could promise you the same…but it would be a lie…
I guess I hit the tailoring first since the armor prices keep going up and the quest leveling monetary compensation sucks and is not enough to get a full outfit ..saving the karma for amulets and other small stuff..like tailoring recipes ..thanks for the replies …
Cooking is handy during leveling because of the xp gain you get. I use this guide: http://www.gw2wiz.com/index.php/cg1400menu/chef1400
For some reason, during leveling, I find it quite “hard” or tiresome at early lvl30. Then I go level cooking to gain some levels and I’m off again.
With my Necromancer, I leveled tailoring. Thought I could craft my own exotic gear back then. But I fell in love with the Conditionmancer and alas, you can’t craft any Rabid gear as far as I know.
Then I took Jeweler to help out a friend who’s aiming for a Legendary.
But to be honest, I never crafted anything else except for the things you have to craft for leveling your profession.

tailor/jeweler unless you’re crazy like me and take chef because it’s fun.
