Best gear stats for MM build?
PVP – PVT
PVE – whatever you want, actually. Minion stats didn’t scale with yours, only minion traits are matter. Berserker for power, rabid for conditions, mix of rampager and berserker for hybrid.
With Vampiric Master you will always get insane regeneration from minions siphon, so you don’t need any defense.
I’d say Berzerker for PvE, with the minimum defensive stats mixed in to keep you alive. You really don’t want to be running condition in PvE in general, and minion traits synergize better with power innately.
I would also say Berserker’s for PvE. If you plan to go into Blood/Death trees for their minion traits, you will get plenty of survival stats from there.
As for WvW minions don’t really do well on the open field, but in smaller battles they can be very fun and viable. I would recommend a mix of Knight’s/Soldier’s/Berserker’s. As long as you have 2800ish armor and 22k HP you should be fine, especially if you go the vamp minion route.

Its not so much that conditions can’t be run with minions, in fact conditions with minions is a very good setup in sPvP (both damage types, plus with spirits/guardians/venom share thieves you get a lot of on-proc conditions for the minions), the problem is more that conditions just suck on their own in PvE compared to direct damage.
That makes sense… so for a power weapon main hand, would you say dagger or axe? I think dagger is more dps, but would the vulnerability stacks from the axe net more damage from the minion attacks?
For PvE just go dagger. You’ll be using berzerker gear so your personal damage won’t be lacking, you’ll probably have focus so you’ll get some vulnerability, and any “serious” content you’ll almost always have people there stacking vulnerability themselves.

pve – axe (vulnerability will increase minions damage and keep you on safe distance)
pvp – dagger (higher, faster damage and additional immobilize skill)
