Best necro 1v1 build?
Whoever can land the most transfers wins most of the time regardless of build type. Minions are a possible exception to this, but in an open field 1vs1 off point you can always kite minions.
extra dodges, real stability, mobility skills,
burst skills, sustain, or good support. GG ANET.
I would vote for cele signet necros but strangely that choice is missing…

Doesn’t seem to exist in the WvW section of metabattle, which is where I assumed the roaming versions of builds would be.
Warrior is hot garbage 1v1 no idea why someone said that.
Anyway cele nec or mm nec is best 1v1 in a PvP setting. In wvw it’s easy to kite a necro… not sure what I’d take. WvW necro is only good in numbers for the most part and I’d use a wellomancer.
To stay on topic, minion .
If there’s proper LoS, good Condition Necro.
In other case I’d say good Power Necro.

What about Dagger/Wh + Staff, Wells, Power build?
Cele signet necro is the best 1v1 build for the class hands down.
Condi necro comes close, but only if there is life force, and things like diamond skin hard make them less fully versatile and amazing.
Both of these specs are horrible at 1v2ing though, and can only disengage if they modify their build for flesh wurm, and even then its not a full proof escape.
MM necro is also very good at 1v1s since the AI is fixed and can actually use wurm to try and run away should things get too much to handle. They do have to worry about soldier/marauder engis with moa in 1v1s, since they have a ton of cleave/CC ontop of their kill minion button. Mesmers are only a problem due to moa, but not an issue otherwise, while hammer/GS warriors can be a problem if they cleave your minions but CC your transfusion.

Imo cele signets is just the laziest way to deal with boon heavy classes played by mediocre players.
Also, a build without Blood Magic isn’t the best at anything.

Well my opinion of cele signers is that it’s only good for 1v1s. Outside of that it’s kind of bad because the mets version of the builds can’t disengage and isn’t very good in team fights.
As cleric MM I feel better in team fights than cele even if the minions die to AoE, since I can actually support the team through rezzes and heals.

i kinda like the crusader signet . with 710-1160 healing power and 2250 power and 2950 armor i can soak dmg and support
i use blood magic line. it work better (for me) in 1v1 and in team fight
cele signet work for me versus boons class but thief can do me trouble 1v1 with blind spamming and stealth abusing.

That’s rabid though, I guess celestial isn’t used at all in wvw for necros?

Condi necro is stronger than Cele signets necro. They both run the same overall utilites, but since the Condi necro’s damage is more “focused” and the Cele necro’s power-based damage gets thoroughly reduced by the weakness stacking, proper transfers mean the Condi necro wins just about every time. Condi necros also lack the major boon production that Cele Signets necros feed off of to create a large portion of their pressure. Granted this is coming from my play, but I believe my skill with the class to be very respectable, my opponent’s skill to be respectable in my MMR (I play with Abjured members here and there), and he played a full extra transfer in Dagger offhand while I played Warhorn.

I mix rabid with dire, until i feel comfortable with my crit chance. You see some celestial necros in WvW, but they are rare compared to Spvp, where they shine.
It’s not even debatable minion manner by far, it can beat any class one on one while staying on the point.
Take sentinel amulet over the popular clerics. You will out sustain anyone. You can lose your minions and survive long enough to get them back up.
I have 2 vs 1 multiple times, while holding a point for long periods. It starts losing its effectiveness when moving Into team fights.

…except for eles with their aoe burning, mesmer with moa, engi with moa and nades, rampage warriors, just to name a few. I’d argue that MMs aren’t even the strongest in a necro vs necro duel.
Yeah even if you do lose your minions, you can sustain until you raise them again. you can survive moa, I have had it happen a lot, its annoying wont kill you though.
