Hi All,

Like most, I took a break from this game for a while. My main was a mesmer, I also have a necro and gaurdian at 80.

I just came back and I see nothing but mesmers, so I decided I’m going to main up my necro! What are some good solo WvW roaming builds? I’m on a T3 server so while I do have to occasionally avoid mini blobs, I’m usually ok solo!

Alot of the builds I’m finding are outdated, I’m looking for some new ones with the current specializations and stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The main problem of the necromancer in roaming is that you can’t kite! So you’re definitely good at dueling, but can’t easily escape from a bad-looking fight.

Go big or get dead. Or go big and get dead. That’s the roaming necro philosophy

As a Necromancer, you must be very comfortable with death.

Parasitic contagion + epidemic and you kill small blobs alone if you know how to play.

Condi necro is the way to go in solo roam, at least its working pretty kitten well for me.

What Donee is saying and his Vidz porve it is Solo Roam works best with Condi, always has and sadly for me and other Power Necs I doubt it will change. Dont think the Power Reaper will be effective as a Solo Roamer tho Il deffo will give my best. Feels like u will be to reliant on Gap-Closers as its even slower and lacks range (things like Sp.Grasp) will almost be a must.

Power Nec has really one place it shines over Condi Nec only: Large Scale WvW

I think one of the strength of condi necro in roaming is that many (most?) other roamers are also condi. Take all the condi you can, send them back and you have a dead enemy. And if you don’t meet a roamer but someone joining its zerg, he’ll probably be direct damage but unequipped for a 1v1.

Agreed!

i disagree that a pure condi roamer is the best…
countered hard by high condi cleansing builds and condi immune builds
especially diamond skin eles make you feel powerless
I have also met rangers with good condi cleansing abilities

I would say a hybrid build works best =p

You have a point, mate. But i just like too much my full condi.
Yea, i can’t kill good diamond skin eles, unless they suck at health management. But i just got run away, they can’t catch me, too fast! haha

can’t really go wrong with donee’s signet roaming build. it does great against classes that give others a lot of trouble. however, good rangers can be annoying.

The build is pretty good, i must agree. I don’t usually have trouble vs any kind of ranger. Just one dude that i can’t beat. Our fights take minutes, but he always win at end, only won once i guess. But other than that, rangers are ezpz. xD
