Bug: Life Transfer never increases Life Force
Changed in the last BWE (‘CAUSE NECROS ARE OP). If you get 5 targets and aren’t being attacked it’ll restore a bit.
To me it feels the breaking points is about 3 targets anything above makes it rise a lill bit..
we can’t make it to strong tho.. once we know how to use ds we’re gonna be an unstoppable killing machine !
This is with the Vital Persistence trait, but I assume it will stand the same without it. These are nowhere near perfect tests, but give a general idea
WIthout casting LT you lose 10LF within this time frame
1on1 you will lose about 7-8LF
2on1 you will lose about 4-5LF
3on1 you will gain about 1LF
4on1 you will gain about 5-6
5on1 you will gain about 10LF
did a quick bit of math on this elsewhere, and it seems that LF drops by 12% for the duration of LT. The ambiguous bit is if the LF collected is pr hit or pr target. If it is pr target you will only break even around about 4 targets (5 is the max on any AOE). If it is pr hit, you can break even on a single target. If Barti’s observation is correct then it is pr target and the effect is minimal at best. And if so, LT is not worth bothering with for the LF “boost”.
Honestly i would have loved to see the builds and numbers of the beta weekend characters that prompted Anet to adjust things to this degree.

They did sweeping changes to the game (without necro in mind) and directly to necros I think without any thought of the ramifications.
World change:
ICD added to procs
Poison down to 33% heal reduction from 66%
Made heals that remove conditions remove the conditions before the heal applies (making poison even more useless)
Necro change:
7s scepter bleeds to 4s
Undocumented DS nerfs
Added degen to jagged horrors
Decreased the number of bone minions and fiends
Decrease Axe damage

Appears to be the main culprit. It seems the two professions with the most “l2p” leveled at its players also have the games most clunky profession mechanics.
I don’t get why it increases life force to begin with. It shouldn’t ever be free. It’s one of our best AoE abilities. I don’t understand what people expect sometimes.
The reduction to Bone Minions and Bone Fiends annoys me though because with more minions an MM build might actually be effective. The same can be said for the Jagged Horrors.
Meh, more minions just means that the first AoE will kill more minions.
